Vivi Nova - short vs long wicks?

Hi all....so I've been loving my vivi nova minis so far, and all of the heads I have and have been using are the long wick versions. While browsing aroud, I've been noticing a majority of the vendor sites seem to have the short wick replacements though. (I know gotvapes has the long wicks which is where I purchased them before...but I have been looking to try some other vendors for supplies)

Has anyone tried both the long and short? Which do you prefer and why?

I prefer the short wicks to the extent that I've trimmed my long-wicks.

The longer wick doesn't seem to help with wicking at all and wastes more juice when I decide to change flavors.
