I do want to apologize as I know there are a lot of reviews out there already on this piece of equipment. I've done a lot of reading already on them. I guess I'm trying to figure out if the newest release on these has fixed the old issues or not.

I'm particularly interested in the following issues:
1. How long does the replaceable part last?
2. Do you feel the tank offers good value?
3. Plasticky tastes and/or associated break in period.
