i just got a few vivi nova tanks after using carto tanks for the better part of a year. usually they're fine but a lot of hit or miss so i decided to try these.

no matter what i do these only burn.. i have yet to get a good hit from them. i tried 2 different tanks, 2 different coils (both 2.8ohms) and nothing but burn. im using 50/50 juice on a zmax v2 at 4.0v, 8.5watts, and even 6.0watts. all burning

any help? do these need to be modded or something before they work at all? i tried looking for answers but a search turned up nothing helpful
thanks

try this...i pull one of the wicks out some have one just lying on top then wiggle them back and forth 2-3 times inside the coil they often have the coil too tight, b4 i fill i pull off the rubber cap and put 2 drops on the coil replace the rubber cap and fill i like to bring the level up to the wicks coming out if that still doesent work remove the rubber cap and with a pair of fingernail clippers cut a small v notch on both sides of the rubber cap i like to pinch it flat with my fingerand make one snip on each side for me thats the only way i can get it to wick but sometimes you can get lucky just by removing one wick hope this works for you

Please be sure to post back with an update. I just got my new Vivi Nova 3.0 in today. Using 2.4 ohm and vape nothing but really sugary ejuice. So far it has worked like a charm! I used it on my kgo 1100mah passthrough and it did great. Then decided to try it on my kgo mega vv at only 3.6 v but still going great and I am almost vaping constantly. I switched because the Kanger t3 that I really like, and the replaceable head clearomizers, for some reason kept burning up and I was having to switch out a new bottom coil almost everyother day and I always used 2.1 ohms or higher. I can only pray this new nova tank turns out great for me. Getting tired of spending money on trial and error. I hope things make a turn for the better for you. Be sure to post back.

well the rebuildable drippers out there hold 10 drops at a time these days. Easily enough to have a vape. As for the vivi nova, you can try thinning your juice with a little water. Otherwise, I usually thin out the wicks by pulling one or two out and I play with where the metal piece is in the rubber grommet. Seems to work well as long as I'm tipping.

I have gotten the burnt taste if I dont clean out my attys often enough or if I vape too quick without "swirling" the liquid while I am vaping. If you clean it out, boil the parts, and let them air dry,it should fix the problem. You might be using too much voltage.

that would not be my case, these were all new tanks and coils. and at 8watts theres no way thats too much

I came here to post the same issue, glad I found this thread.

I have a really tasty and sweet pina colada DIY mix. When I upgraded from the clearos to the vivi nova, the taste was amazing.. but within a couple of days, it's mostly burnt or flavorless hits. I've tried more than once comepletely cleaning out the unit, replacing the cart/wicks and even on the brand new carts, it tastes crappy. I had ordered two units, and the exact same thing has happened with the other one on a different DIY juice. These are 50/50 mixes, and I have my battery set to 4.0w. Nothing that heavy.

I will try slotting that sleeve, but even swirling only has a tiny effect. I want that taste that I got on day1.. as it stands, these are no better than the clearos I used to use (and ultimately replaced).

I have the vision ones- 3.5 metal tanks. I'm experiencing so much gurgle and juice getting into the mouthpiece that I'm thinking of just moving to a new type or something, I will have to ask more questions in the veterans forum when I have time, but it bothers me a lot at how much juice I waste blowing out the overflow on top of the flavorless hits; there's gotta be a better way.
