Has anyone tried this setup with thier X2 battery?

I guess I would need an 808 to 510 adaptor to try, correct? This is the descriptions from the vendors website:
"808 to 510 adapter to enable you to use our 510 FLüXomizer cartomizers, atomizers, etc., on your 808 personal vaporizer."
Looks cool and I may not be ready to purchase just yet. I am still trying flavors to find the one for me. Although, nothing has been better that SI's 555 yet.

A 808 to 510 adaptor would be what you would need for the connection. Most e-cig distributors carry these in their accessory section.

I haven't tried the Vivi Nova tanks yet; from what I have read so far is that the manufacturers are still working out some bugs in them. Although I still occassionally use my X2 batts with SI clearomizers as a backup, I've moved on to a couple of APV's and the Pro 510 dual coil cartomizer tanks in 3ml and 5ml sizes. These tanks are made of polypropylene instead of polycarbonate so they are safe with all e-liquids and come in several different colors. Replacement carto's need to be punched for these tanks to allow the tank juice into the carto.

Personally, if I were you I'd stick with the clearomizers for the X2 batteries. If you find you need a larger juice resevoir for your vaping needs consider getting a larger APV.

Here's some pics of my tanks in a converted sewing toolkit as their organizer/carrying case. I typed out juice names and distributor, printed and cut them to size, and scotch taped them to the tanks.

Thanks Tude, I probably will stick with the clearo's for now. I do have a couple of boxes of the Phoenix bottom coils on the way to try out also. I'm still using carto's at work with one of the 78mm batteries, but I can taste a difference in the carto's vs the clearo's.

I love the phoenix bottom coils. I have the top coils, but havent tried them yet. I do like the 2.4-2.6 ohm better than the 2.6-2.8. They work great on the 78mm volts. I cant wait for SI to get a similar product.

My only problem is they produce so much vapor, I dont want to use my clearos anymore

"anticipation..."

Rumor (aka Imagine) has it that the clearos are coming out in a different kind of plastic soon, and they're in the process of testing out a smaller Phoenix-type carto that might come out in July. I'm waiting for those...

After receiving my Phoenix's last night, all I can say is I can't wait for SI to come out with some of these. They worked fantastic and the amount of vapor is insane. I think they even taste different (better) than a clearo.

I only had 2 very minor issues:

1. After filling one of the Phoenix's, the first couple of hits tasted burnt. I had read on here somewhere about squeezing the tube a little and I did that. Did that a couple of times and it worked fine for the rest of the fill.

2. One of the Phoenix's won't work on my X2 auto. It works fine on my X2 manual though. I did not try it on one of my 78mm batteries.

Aw, man, the new colors! I rallied sooo hard to get them to make the lime green regular batts - then they did, but my money fell apart and I still don't have one...but now it looks like I may have a better option coming up. :p

Why didn't it work on the auto? Try unscrewing about an 1/8 of a turn.

Did you get a top color bottom coil? I let them wick for a minute before using. I had the same issue where the first hit was dry and no vapor. Them I sat it for about 30seconds and it worked well

I can't wait for SI to get them.

Got my vivi nova 2.5 in today. This thing is awesome with the x2. It's not as big as I thought it would be, but it is about 1/3" longer because of the adapter.

I know it's not for everyone, but for someone like me who can vape 3ml at night while watching tv, it's awesome. It hasn't leaked at all, and it's easy to fill. I love the replacement head feature too. I actually turned it upside down for an hour and nothing came out.

It would be even better if smokeless image could have these with an 808 thread (hint hint IMAGINE)

I'm sure that wont happen because I know they like to keep things simple, but it would be nice. I can dream, can't I

I'm in vaping heaven now. X2 batteries with the vivi nova and 78mm batteries with the Phoenix. And when SI gets the ce3's it will be even better. No reason to ever leave SI now

I've been using a Viva Nova 2.5 with a normal volt battery and it's worked great! I bought a 808 to 510 adapter at gotvapes.com as well as the Viva. It does discharge the batteries a bit quicker than normal, but that's about it. With an X2 you should be gtg.

which ohm head are you using? Remember, the lower the resistance of the coil, the faster your battery will discharge. Personally, I like the 2.4. I havent tried the 1.8ohm yet.
