Vivid dreams and itching, please help me

Hello. Thanks for your help. I suffer from the bipolar disorder and I have psoriasis (a skin disease due to anxiety). I have been vaping since June 21st. One day I felt dizzy, but it only happened for a short time. Since I began vaping I have had about two or three vivid dreams until today when I had more vivid dreams again. The vivid dreams are annoying because they are too real. Also about a week ago I have itching, especially on my back. I have had about three times of itching, and I take a medicine called fendramin in Spanish that it is for allergies. Please tell me if the vivid dreams and the itching will last for a long time. I need to know more about these side effects. Thanks a lot. Thanks in Christ Jesus. Orly.

Orly I'm not sure on the itching I'd think if it was any ind of alergic reaction you'd be itching more regularly.... is it possible the itching could be cause by something else? As for the dreams pay attention to how close to bedtime you vape. I've read some people tend to have these vivide dreams when they vape right before bed. If you vape right before bed try to either stop vaping a half hr before you go to bed or vape a low nicotine juice if you must vape right up to bedtime... If you can It wouldn't hurt at all to check with your doctor on both the dreams and the itching.

Hope this helps some,
Shannon

PG makes me itch and eventually have a rash. It's an annoying reaction that I don't get when I use VG. Try out some VG based juice for a while and see if anything changes.

You will be going through changes if you've recently stopped smoking for vaping. Withdrawl and your body cleansing can do things to you. Check out this list of symptoms you might experience due to vaping and due to withdrawl/cleansing http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...hen-quitting-tobacco-changing-ecigarette.html

As Shannon suggested, nic levels can cause vivid dreams/nightmares as well as cause you to be dizzy. Try to lower your nicotine to a lower level or use a higher level in the morning and use a lower level in the evening.

Because of your regimen of medicine, and the complexities that come with that, do not heed advice online in any way except as for your own research. Talk with your doctor about the side effects you are having, and bring any knowledge you glean along with you to help out. You should never take the advice of anyone but your doctor, especially in your case and especially from the internet where Google University is where most people got their Doctorates. ;) Good luck and if you have sudden trouble breathing, I'm sure you know to dial 911.

Nicotine is known to cause vivid dreams.

On my first order, I only bought 24mg nic juice (to put that in perspective, I dropped down to 4 and 0 nic on my next order and have been happy ever since!) Falling asleep was an adventure for a few weeks while I went through those 2 bottles of juice.

I rarely dream, and started wondering what was going on after the 3rd or 4th night of these crazy dreams. So I jumped online and started searching. First I searched for something like "crazy dreams ecigs", but couldn't find anything. Then I did another search for something like "dreams nicotine" and had all sorts of results. There are actually forums out there discussing "lucid dreaming". Some of their users are using the patch when they sleep to help develop their dreams.

Nicotine is a hell of a drug.

Hello Orly. I had skin itching for a short time. I was able to relieve it with skin cream. It didn't last long and I'm not sure it had anything to do with vaping.

I have had nightmares with previous quit attempts but never with vaping.

Glad you're going to see your doctor. Let us know how it goes.

Hope you can get it resolved.

...my 2 cents...along with checking with your doctor.....At about the 4 week mark I started itching like crazy for about a week.....even tho I drink plenty of water, I needed more. Even now when I am not getting enough water by getting itchy....I keep water with me all day.

Excellent point. I was reading through to see if anyone else said this before I did.

Chantix, which is similar to several other antidepressants, caused me significant, strange, bizarre dreams. Coupled with other sleeping disorders, I was never able to stay on it. With what we're finding out about Chantix, that may be a good thing.

I also had the same problems with Wellbutrin, which was commonly used before Chantix was available...

I'd definitely look at the med list for culprits...

I'm on board with everyone else, and agree that some of this may be withdrawal. Withdrawal is a strange beast and can cause some weird symptoms. Perhaps withdrawal is exacerbating your psoriasis as well and causing itching? It could even be psychosomatic, the fear of getting off cigarettes could be causing some symptoms. I only suggest this because I have pretty bad anxiety, and still sometimes have mild panic when I think about being off analogs. I know a few people who have good luck with UV therapy or controlled sun exposure for both psoriasis and mental health therapy, perhaps something to bring up with your Dr.

Absolutrly true... years ago when I tried to quit analogs with the patch I would put it on before bed to try to kick that first thing in the morning nic fit, and the dreams, boy let me tell you!!!

Hi Orly,

On the itching.. one thing smoking does is suppress the immune system, so for people with psoriasis, or an immune inflammatory issue/autoimmune disease, there's a good chance that they will go through a rough time when they quit smoking, but IT WILL get better, even if it takes a few months. Your body's immune system will soon begin to regulate itself because you are no longer smoking. With your doctor's permission, a "B" vitamin called Nicotinamide might complement vaping and stop the itching, and could possibly stop the psoriasis for good.

I had the vivid dreams and nightmares for the first 8 weeks of vaping. In every single dream, I was smoking.
