Well, it's been about 5 days with my new VK and - I love it. Seriously.
After futzing around endlessly with a 510 (constant topping off, burnt sock flavor, vodka atty soaks, cutting up tea bags, straws and aquarium filter) and being almost totally satisfied with a 401 (well, except for the tiny carts, necessary paperclips, and no PCC) I went looking for something better, easier.
The VK sounded great but I've spent so much on other gear lately that I was hesitant to invest in something new. I was also concerned about not liking the pre-filled cartos because I don't get along well with PG, and chinese liquids just haven't been my favorites in the past.
But then I read someone here saying they were not only successfully refilling their cartos with VG but that they got up to 25 drops in them (compared to 6 drops in my 410). That, along with the impressive specs on the batteries, sexy looking equipment and seeing V4L's excellent customer service in action here on ECF... made me decide to go ahead and just order.
So I ordered my PCC Kit last Monday and it arrived Wednesday (fast!). I popped a 18mg Chocolate carto on my pretty chrome auto battery and ...wow. The draw was light and easy but warm and rich. The intense flavor and throat hit were simply out-of-the-box superior to anything I've tried so far.
The Peach Cobbler and Rum & Coke cartos they threw in were also good, and tasted exactly like what the were supposed to. Not perfumy or too sweet.
This is the best PG dk-type liquid I've had but I had to try my VG, which I'm pretty attached to. I rinsed out one of my cartos and I filled it with some Ecopure Rich and english toffee flavoring and oh man, perfect. My favorite flavor tastes better than it ever has. I now taste all kinds of subtle notes that just weren't there before.
If vaping with my other PVs is like smelling cookies baking - then the VK is like a eating a delicious warm cookie right out of the oven.
The only bummer in an otherwise perfect purchase was that my battery seems to have a problem holding a charge for as long as it should. But I know from what I've read here that I don't need to worry about it at all. I'm so stoked about the VK I already turned in another order yesterday with a note about the battery. I know V4L will take care of it, like they have every other issue anyone has had.
So I'm a happy girl.

I'm going to save any freebie cartos they send with my orders to have on hand so that I can let every smoker that asks me about it try them out. I honestly can't imagine recommending another PV to a beginner now.
