After dealing with my daughter today, decided I was worthy of a new mod.

She's 12 going on 18 and is totally insane. I see her as often as I can. (Lives with her mother) Appaently both of us are not good enougn for her. She has decided that she needs everything pierced, her hair colored what ever the flavor of the month is, and also recently shaved half her head. Her latest bout of madness revolves around her mother and I not allowing her to get her lips pierced. After this discussion she basically told us both to go f ourselves six ways from Sunday and has professed that she never want to have anything to do with me ever again because I opress her style. I think I'm going to have a very stiff drink now and hope this blows over sooner than later.

LOL! Oh Spac, you poor thing. All kids go through a phase where they are trying to find themselves. Some phases are long, some are short, some are wild and crazy, and some are depressed and subdued. You just do as much as you can do, make sure she knows that you're there for her no matter what, and she will turn out just fine. She's just trying to find her identity. Good parents go a long way

OMG I am soooo relieved that my son is 29. I feel for all you parents that are dealing with teen & preteen offspring. The only thing that got me through was remembering my Mom had 6 of us & didn't kill us or herself, and I don't know why she didn't
To all you parents, follow your gut in doing what is right, and make sure your kids know you love them no matter what, yet, at time don't like what they choose to do. Good luck

I am home taking care of my 1 year old who has hand foot and mouth disease, she had fever all weekend, throwing up, she has a pretty nice rash all over her body. Its been hell and it sucks!! All I need now is for me to catch it!! My daughter cant get the VMAX lol, but maybe i can since i gotta take care of her!!

OK it was fun thanks everyone for sharing your stories I could add to mine being attacked and lied about collectively by a group of people etc. But I can't win myself so the winners are.
