Vmod XL BATTERY HELP PLEASE

Hi! Ok, I feel really dumb for having to ask this in the first place, but I'm not sure if I can totally screw up my mod by doing the wrong way...better safe than sorry, right?

ok, my question...

it have an 18650 battery, want to set up my Vmod xl...but I don't kno which way to put the battery in lol does the "+" or "-" touch the bottom spring??

Positive side up. Negative on the spring.

From the V-mod User manual:
"• Some batteries are built different; please check that the on/off switch works with each battery. If the battery makes
contact to the switch in the off position, flip the battery upside down. This should take care of the issue. If not please
be aware that the unit might fire and take precautions."
