Ive currently got 2 halo triton 650's and a halo vv 900 mah. I like them alot but now I want a mod, I really like the look of the volcano lavatube 2.5 , it seems like it has everything but provari is still considered number one.. im not sure about the one button does all thing but has anyone out there used both and have an opinion on which I should opt for?

I say if you have the money get the Provari. I believe that's the general consensus on here so I probably won't be the only one saying this. You will get used to the one button configuration. I think it's a fair trade when you consider the build quality and accuracy of the Provari to only have one button instead of three. Besides once you get it dialed in with the atomizer you have attached you're not going to be fiddling with it much anyways. Just weigh the pros and cons. And the only pros I can see in the way of the Lavatube is more buttons (if you consider that a pro as some like the simplistic feel with just one button) and it's cheaper. Pros for the Provari are awesome build quality, ability to use aftermarket parts to personalize the look, Accuracy within 1% of what it's set at, takes more than just 510 connections without having to use an adapter, it's more pocketable and feels better in the hand (to me at least) than the Lavatube, 1 year warranty with the option to buy a 2 year warranty and lifetime support and when you are out of your warranty it's pretty reasonably priced to get fixed if it does malfunction, and I'm sure there's more but this post is kind of dragging on a little too long. My vote is for the Provari if you can afford it.

I started with a Triton kit, eventually bought 2 Tritons of every size plus 6 vv. Wanted to try other delivery systems, so needed something with a 510 connection. I did as much research on ProVari as I did when picking the Halo Triton kit, which is a lot. Of course I bought a ProVari. Love it.

I still use my Tritons daily, though. I like the warm throat hit the Triton tank delivers, which a ProTank 2 can not. They are also more convenient for a quick discreet hit or in the car, but my at-home device is primarily the ProVari, ProVari Mini, or ProVape-1.

I don't have a Provari. I have two older LT's and they're not the best devices out there but they're still here and kicking after about 6 months of use (after a few DIY repairs). Performance is OK, but nothing fantastic and I don't know if the latest are any better.

I agree with MechanicalMan. If you know vaping is for you and can swing the cash, get the Provari. I wouldn't worry about the menu, my bet is you'll get used to it. If you do find you don't like it you can always sell it for probably 90% of what you paid for it on the classifieds here so the risk is minimal.

Whatever you decide, best of luck with it :thumb:

I can't speak personally for the Provari. But having owned the LavaTube 2.0 and LavaTube 2.5 I have to say im pretty satisfied with the performance of the LavaTube. As I stated I can't compare the Provari and LavaTube 2.5 but I can say I personally feel the Lavatube 2.5 is better then the Innokin SVD. I was just in a situation where my Lava Tube 2.5 LCD screen stopped working and Volcano made good on a quick replacement. However im a heavy Vapor I needed a quick solution so the Innokin SVD stood in. Not a bad Device, had to toggle with the bottom cap it seems to get a good Batt connection to maximize vaping strength, The LavaTube 2.5, I never had any real issues that couldn't be fixed quick. The VV/VW is a nice little feature alongside the vAverage , and VRMS modes for advanced Vaping experience. Anyway just thought id share my opinion on the subject. But will be getting a new Provri around the Holidays

Thanks for everyones input, the sigelei v5 looks really good too, I guess the option to use ego threaded tanks would be a big plus for the zmax and provari, I still think the lavatube 2.5 is the best looking mod though and easiest to use but I think im just torn between the zmax and the provari. . Would the vape quality differ much between these two devices. . A provari starter kit goes for around $400 new in new Zealand.

Ego threading on provari? Mine doesnt. I do have an adapter I can put on though. Sold seperately. As for buying a provari. Get verified and look in the classifieds section here at ecf. I am sure it will be much cheaper than buying where you are buying. Even with shipping. Worth a shot if thats the way you want to go

Oh and I cannot compare the two. I a lavatube version 1 before. Dropped it once and broke the thing. Tried to contact volcano and they told me the place I bought it wasnt an authorized dealer there is nothing they can do about warranty. I bought a provari after that. Much smoother vape imo.

If you can't get a Provari shipped to you for less than $400 your doing something wrong. If Provape won't agree to ship you one, then get verified here on ecf and put up a wanted post for a used provari shipped to new zealand. The shipping shouldn't cost more than $50usd. The LTv2.5 is made in china. Its just a US company that has it made in china and shipped to them. It gets OK reviews but the big-time YT reviewers all seemed to agree that the size doesn't match the inside componants. Its a huge device, bigger than the Silver Bullet. Its a well made device but so is the Provari. Its cheaper but it has a few weird quirks and problems on the oscilloscope.

I bought the LT v2 when it first came out. I loved it. UNTIL I won the ProVari. If cost is an issue, got with the Lavatube. If you've never vaped on a ProVari, you won't know the difference. Having said that, the ProVari is a smoother vape, it feels more sturdy in your hand and it has customer service and repair service that just isn't available with the Lavatube. I'm not big into vv/vw, so I can't quote you specs. All I can do is tell you that if I had it to do over again I would have skipped the Lavatube and gone straight for the Provari.

The CS from Volcano is excellent. I just got an RMA for my code 82 falling LT 2.0.after ten good months of use,and it went smoothly. Fast and.quick and now awaiting my replacement LT 2.5. I have an added bonus,my new LT 2.5 has VW,my busted LT 2.0,did not. I just can't justify the hefty price for the Provari when the LT (2.0 and 2.5) do the same thing,at a lower price and the MODs are just as durable as the Provari.

Sigelei Zmax V3 and V5 are similar. V5 has a different OLED display and offers two additional features over V3: a puff counter and an accessory cell phone charger.

The Sigelei Zmax Telescopic V3/V5 are solid, heavy, stainless steel VV/VW APVs. They offer hard stainless steel 510/eGo connections, removable top cap, telescopic tube bodies that accept 18350, 2x18350, 18490, 18500 and 18650 batteries. It's one of the shortest VV/VW tube mods available for all battery sizes. No need to buy an additional "mini" model for 18350 or optional tube extensions. The Sigelei telescopics offer battery versatility right out of the box. I've been using mine exclusively for eight months and loving it. I bought a second Sigelei (body only) for $42 as a back-up unit three weeks ago.
