Volcano's 1000 mah Battery Cut-Off *Please Help*

Can someone tell me if this is normal? On the 1000 mah battery, I get a 3 blinking light and power shutdown after 7-9 seconds. I have had 2 of these now, and both of them do the same thing.

Now interestingly, their 650 mah pass-through batteries don't do this. I have had 3 of them (2 new and 1 almost 9 months old), and they work absolutely fine.

I cannot get a straight answer from Volcano. They tell me at one time the 3 blinks means it's defective, and later I hear there is nothing wrong with it.

Yes it is normal. Most batteries have a cut off, some lower than others. The genuine JoyE eGo's cut off is at 12 sec, nobody notices this because few reach the cut off. 12 sec is a long time to pull on an atty.

Yes, this is normal... It's not the end of the world though. What you will have to do is hold down the button while inhaling for 5 secs release the button and then press the button and keep inhaling. This way you are taking the long hit you may require but not getting the cut off.

Thanks for the info. I think I'll stick with the 650's, I checked the time and they run 20-25 seconds. With the one I have, I guess it's not too big a deal to hit the button twice.
