Just order your hardware from Smokeless Image directly. Their cheapest USPS shipping rates are great, takes about 10 days or less to me in Ontario. Use discount cade ECR96 for the best price or wait for one of their frequent sales. I buy 10 boxes of blank cartos every sale. Came to $65.15 delivered for my last order. I still prefer Volt's Cartos over the Kanger 808's.

I've bought tons of hardware from Smokeless Image for myself and friends. Only had one bad Battery and a Slider Charge Case. It cost 2.75 to mail them back for warranty and Smokeless Image payed postage for the replacements. No hassles.

It's so easy to order from them I don't see a reason for a Canadian Distributor. Plus you can pay with Credit Card. I'm awaiting delivery of one of their new eGo size Auto batteries, the Volt Maxx. I love Autos!

I ordered direct from Smokeless Image, they shipped my package on March 7 and I've been sitting on the edge of my seat since then. It's my first e-cig purchase and I can't wait to get started. Ordered a VV Mod from another vendor as well, but that won't be here for another week or two. Hope to get the Volt by end of week or it will be another weekend of smoking analogs, argh! The wait is torture :(

I can give you a good reason to have a Canadian Distributor: Canada Customs. They can randomly seize your shipments, refuse them entry to Canada, hold them for months while they inspect etc... That being said I've only had 1 of my 9 Smokeless Image shipments seized by customs. A Canadian distributor would vastly superior in that regard.

Btw, they changed the name of the Volt MaXx to Volt X² just incase anyone is looking on their site for that battery.

This is my point as well plus I get to support our canadian vendors.. I prefer interac email transfer or paypal. I did order from smokeless image directly before and it took 2 weeks to get to me and the main reason is they forgot to process my order. So yeah I will buy from them direct as it seems no one is reselling volt's here in CDA. :)

Canada Customs can't seize your Smokeless Image hardware. Shipping from Smokeless Image is cheaper than what Canadians can provide. A Canadian Distributor will never carry the whole inventory selection that Smokeless Image offers and keep it in stock. The Hardware all comes from the same sources. I should not have to pay a extra premium because I believed someone on the internet that Customs will scoop my hardware, Hahaha, so your racketeering is a joke. I will never pay a Canadian premium for hardware that I can get myself in North America and easily manage any warranty claims, and much cheaper I must add. If a Canadian e-cig Business wants to make a profit off me, offer me something I can't get conveniently myself and don't make me feel like I'm being second taxed for being Canadian! My purchases from a Canadian retailer will not begin with Fear.

Customs can seize anything they want. Don't kid yourself. Switched can attest to that as he had a hardware only shipment seized (this was before he became a vendor) heck a number of people and vendors have had their orders of hardware only seized.
Sorry to single you out switched.

As for shopping south of the boarder I can agree that I use to do that all the time. Lower prices plus lower shipping costs attracted me.
Still to this day I cringe when placing an order due to CP shipping costs, just have to make a large enough order to counter that.

You are 100% wrong about Customs. Customs can absolutely seize your hardware. I had a shipment of mine seized and they took all the products with nic (understandable), and 2 batteries + 2 chargers, 2 of those nice magnetic boxes the starter kits come in and 4 stealth battery caps. I have the pictures and the paperwork to prove it, I'm more than happy to upload it here for you to see. Was it right for them to seize the hardware? No. Can I do anything about? Probably not.

It sucks big time dude, trust me, if you were in my position you would understand why people like me might want to pay a few dollars extra to know that Customs won't randomly take their stuff.

I love Smokeless Image products, I'm a loyal customer and will be for as long as they continue to offer the same quality, customer service and prices as they do now.

As far as the inventory and pricing issues with having a Canadian distributor, I agree wholeheartedly. It's hard to compete with American companies on the internet and its simpler to deal with SI directly, that's why I've spent almost $1000 on SI products in the last 2 months.

Narf! If you had Nic in the shipment then that shows the Hardware was intended for drug delivery. You broke one of the first rules of importing to Canada, Don't put Nic in with the Hardware! Period! LMAO

Other than that, if there's no Nic and it's a personal sized shipment of Hardware only, Customs should let it sail on. I've never had a hardware import problem from the US or China. I also have a yellow customs tape collection.

I'd be interested in knowing what the shipping label said on the shipment that was seized from SI. I ask because I just recently received a passthru from SI ... the sender name was an individual, not a company, and the description just said "usb cable" ... seemed intentionally "stealthy" on SI's part to me.

The Customs Declaration Dispatch Note CP 72 form has the following on it:

Atomizer Kit
Atomizer Cartridge

And was shipped from a person and labelled as a gift.

I don't disagree with you best practices on shipping ecig products to Canada, I just disagreed with your statement that Customs can't take your hardware. It has happened to people before and probably will continue to happen. That being said, most people never have a problem. I've had nic liquid orders from AVE and BWB come in without any problems at all.

Just because they SHOULD let hardware sail on doesn't mean they WILL. Do not underestimate the crooks at Customs.

And your suggestion to split the orders is a good idea and I will make sure to do so going forward, but it means now I have to pay shipping twice :(
