I'm going to Jamaica next month, and i'm leaning against bringing any of my mods, tanks, or rebuildables with me. I'll probably bring some ego batts and cartos. While thinking about what small options i had, i thought of 808s. My first e-cig was an old school 808, nearly two years ago. 808s got me off of analogs, which was no small feat, but after a couple of months I was looking for bigger and better and got into mods and dripping with LR atties, and gave all my 808 batteries away to friends and interested new vapers. Nowadays I mostly use carto tanks, and i've just recently gotten into rebuildables.

I'm thinkin I might enjoy a cig-a-like PV while i'm on vacation. Not only will it require far less and far simpler explanations, and be arguably more convenient, but I also think i'll enjoy the resemblance to a cigarette. However, i'm unsure if its performance would be satisfying enough to me anymore.

I've heard many times, from many different vapers, about what an improvement the Volt is compared to the older style 808s. I've read multiple posts from vapers who generally use mods, higher or variable voltage, etc., who've said that the Volt is a great device, they keep them as back-ups, and enjoy using them.

What makes the Volt different from the 808s that I was using when I started vaping? Is it the batteries? The cartos? Both??? How so? I know that they are an improved design, i'm just wondering in what ways?

Thanks for any help you can give me

The autos are sealed, so are very drip resistant. I fill my own cartos and have no problems with them on my autos. I've only read reviews on battery time comparison - apparently they last longer than other 808s - especially if you get the 78mm which is still a nice discreet size. They are regulated. The cartos are bottom coil - so heating is more even, and they are harder to burn. There's a few things.

I think you might be surprised how many people you see in Jamaica with PV devices but chances are they are vaping a totally different blend. I think the locals are used to seeing the devices and I would take whatever makes you happy. Jamaicans are a good hearted bunch on the whole and have far bigger worries that what the tourist (money stream) is vaping. Don't ask how I know this.

It might be fun to check out their local juices.
