Does anyone know if there are differences between 510 Voltage Indicator - RTD vapor and 510 Voltage TankoMeter - Avid Vaper by any chance? I mean appearance aside

Also, how do you hook batteries up to them. I've never before measured my batts - if they feel weak I just recharge - but figured I might as well

edit: argh, realized after posting that this is quite spammy for this sub-forum. if a mod wants to move it or delete or whatever that's ok. i'll repost elsewhere

I don't think there's much difference, basically attach the meter to the 510 and hit the fire button and it's supposed to show you the battery voltage. I've never used one, I just use my multi meter. I'd recommend a multimeter over those you posted, multimeter has more uses too. Apparently you can attach that to the mod and attach your atomizer to it, and when you hit the fire button it's supposed to measure the voltage of the battery under a load also.

When I'm out and about I use one of these

I added alligator clips to the wires and stuffed it into an old carto tank. Its pretty handy as it reads to the hundredths. I believe Scott used to give something like this away but ECF made him stop.

My charger reads battery voltage for me. Nitecore intellicharger d4 from illumination supply costs under 30 dollars.

As far as being spammy, Rob generally seems to have no problem with us helping one another find the gear and accessories we need to keep our Reos operating perfectly, so long as nobody's trying to advertise products similar to his livelihood. So don't be shy about asking for help here :)

Not shy, just that it was spammy :). Was a forehead slap moment when I realized that these meters have a 510 connector.

But whatever - I've got a multimeter which I'll use once my next shipment arrives (rba stuff. finally. will miss my ciscos. maybe. probably not.)
Once you start building RBAs I don't think you'll miss your Ciscos one bit. I think you'll just wonder why you waited so long to switch over. :)

Everyone needs a multimeter, lots of uses.

I agree, don't know how folks get through life never owning even a simple inexpensive one.

Bought my Fluke 8024B early 80's. It saw hard use until i retired in 1990 but has always been used often and still works as good as new. Kind of big a bulky though... stood up with the pull out support it takes up a lot of real estate on a desk.

So I bought a much smaller Fluke 101. It's so compact it sits on my computer desk back just under the front of my flat screen monitor all the time. I run it with 6" long spike/alligator clip leads that wrap around back and are held by it's stand to keep it small and always out of the way yet instantly ready to bring out and use.

Well I believe karen had to quit "giving away" those neat little covers she made for the REOs, at least, wasn't allowed to suggest it.

I guess doing that would make you a supplier.....or something.
