Hello everyone, I currently own the istick 30w. I am running a single coil 1.4ohm coil and run it at 9-10watts or 3.6V

the problem I have been having is that I will lock it leave it for a while and go back to take a puff when I realize it has jumped all the way to the max wattage and the lock is no longer there. It also does this when there is no lock on the device.

I thought my buttons were sticking so I took it apart to clean everything. It is free of juice and no sticking, but it still keeps doing this.
My battery is not getting hot, but I do notice it seems to happen more frequently when my battery is running low.

I am currently searching for a new device. But I am a bit worried. Is this one still safe to use until I get another and does anyone know what could be the problem that is causing this?

Did you try running it in just Voltage mode?

The chipset might be failing. There shouldn't be any problem to continue to use the device as long as you are aware of the problem. Just 5-click it off when not using it and remove the atomizer when you're asleep.

I ususally run it in voltage mode. I will try it in wattage mode and see if that makes a difference. and I've been very cautious with it. Thanks for the tips. I was hoping it would be something simple causing the issues, but that makes sense.

Best thing, until you can replace it, is probably just to check it everytime before you take a hit, so you don't get any unpleasant surprises -- I had one like that once, just from a mod that had adjusted itself upward while riding in my purse.

The iSticks are just kinda iffy, I think. I have two of them; one is still fine, though I've dropped it twice on ceramic tile and have given it a thorough ejuice bath from a leaky kayfun. The other hasn't ever had anything bad happen to it... but it will no longer hold a charge, even if turned off, so I've had to retire it.

Head over to wake and vape they have the IPV D2 for $37.00 and the D3 for 39.00. Ismoka's eleaf line is entry level and longevity isn't their strong suit. I went the buy cheap route initially and it wasn't worth the frustration of dealing with all of the issues plus the waste of money that could have went to a better built device. Also keep an eye on vapingcheap.com they post daily deals and a lot of e retailers sales.
