Here's an explanation of electrical units significant to e-cigarette use.

In example B, the bottom line indicated milliAmphours available divided by actual drain. This yields a useful battery charge life of very approximately 3/4 of an hour under load. Your results may vary quite a bit from this.

EDIT: In the table above under P - Watts, the formula P = E / I should be P = E X I Table Corrected.

Ok thank goodness for scientific calcs on cell phones if u turn it side ways...
So for the correct vape on a variable voltage vv variable wattage vw
Gives u the perfect vape.
So with a 3.7 volt batt power or watts should be set to 5.4
Then u set the voltage for the perfect vape nice. Think I got it.
Awesome, thanks again.......

U don't have to understand it. It's just a simple formula for setting your gear up if u have a variable wattage variable voltage mod.
I'm thinking and and vets please correct if I'm wrong. If u have a vv vw mod the most important thing is getting the right power.
So there is a resistance in your atomizer. So u just use the resistance from your atomizer and it gives u the right power.

So when u buy your replacement atomizer that says 2.5 on it u use the formula on the left to set power.
The batts we used are mostly 3.7 volts

So take your smartphone set the calculator to scientific
And you will see that ^ symbol so u 3.7 divided by 2.5 then the answer is the power you set your watts to.
The volt adjustment is for your taste. The watts or power is where u get the push

constantly with the overload of math related to vaping. funny how it didnt matter until we got a button to change the voltage.

while i think knowing limits is a good practice in the end you connect the atty turn down the device a bit and slowly adjust til it works for you. no calculator needed - promise.

if using VV a good rule of thumb is resistance + 2 for voltage then adjust up or down.

1.8 ohms + 2 = 3.8 V adjust a click or two for your liking.

So same rule apples for 2.5 ohms?
Thanks

I also find it amusing when someone says VW is way better than VV its the exact same thing DC current. You do use a little different method to get to the same point but if the out put is 3.8 volts weather the mod is set in VV or VW the coil is getting 3.8 volts. I have a VW stallion from Texas select vapor. It has a DNA 12 with a manual potentiometer. No meter. Screw on your accessory of choice press the button and turn the dial.
very easy if you go to hot nothing bad happens it taste a little burnt just dial it back down a little. No biggie. I can agree the more you know about what you are uesing the better off you are but at the same time it dose not mean the new guy cant ejoy VV/VW vaping with out memorizing all of these math formulas.

Thats a big milestone something to be proud of!

Thanks, and u know maybe I have gone a lil overboard with my purchases.
But u know, today I'm not smoking. So I am taking away all the variables.
No excuses, if I pick up an analog (not today) it will be because I
darn well wanted to....
Thanks to everyone here on ECF

Congratulations Soba! 30 days is a big deal. If these math rules help you out, by all means use them but don't let the technical side of things scare you. Unless you get into building your own gear all you need to know is how to charge your batteries, fill your juice and push a button. Vaping is kinda like cars, if you just want to get from point a to point b without any hassles you can buy a stock civic and call it a day. You come on the forums and we have people doing that (ego with some type of clearo generally or cig-a-like) And then you've got the guys who want to figure out the best way to set up the turbo booster on their 58 vette so that it doesn't create any issues with the nitro assist and by the way, yes it can handle all that back pressure because it's running dynaflow headers. If you had never had any experience with cars and came across a thread like that, you'd think that driving was too complicated for you. We all know though, you don't have to be a mechanic to drive. All you need to know about the electrical is where the switches are and where to put the key. You don't have to know how a tranny works to know where drive is. Whatever you're looking for in a vaping experience is doable.

Katya is looking for posts to add to some stickies and we're working on a textual description of stuff. I've "paused" on it trying to get more input and help.

Anyway, we could use your chart (quoted with credit to you) or your help in editing/updating it. It's here:
(Breaking out of date link: ) http: // www dot e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/cartomizer-issues/18530-burning-cartomisers-dangerous-510-kr808-4081-etc-filler-type-cartos-862.html#post9804049

Just quote the post and add stuff to the quote (maybe in a different color for that one post you're making.) Or just paste in the chart above or a link to it.

Nice chart. Can we use it, credited?
