Once again I say hello and welcome to another vape review, today's review sample was sent to me from Voopoo and is the newest edition as of today's date to the Drag family of devices. The Drag 4 is a full sized box mod that is a dual 18650 with a maximum power output of 177 watts with 4 power modes including TC. Featured with the Drag 4 is the Uforce L Sub Ohm tank that takes all coils in the PNP lineup with 2 newly styled PNP coils Voopoo calls dual in one. There's a lot to cover with this kit including a new locking switch that is multifunctional in it's locking features so lets get to know the Drag 4 Kit with the Uforce L tank before my review of this kit.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS


I haven't mentioned to you that the Drag 4 is a C-Frame device yet and the packaging for it kind of follows suite. I was sent one of the wood & silver metal version and the packaging also follows that . The wood portion and silver portion pull apart like a C-Frame mod does.

Inside the kit is the Drag 4, Uforce L Tank, Extra glass tube which is a bubble style ( 5.5ML ) with a straight glass tube (4ML ) preinstalled, type-c charge cord, user manual, PNP TW-15 0.15Ω Coil ( 55-70w ), PNP TW-20 0.2Ω ( 40-55W ), battery warning card and spares pack of silicone O-Rings. I find the device to be attractive and was curious to see how the Uforce L tank looked installed on the new Drag 4 because it appears to be pretty tall.

First things first was to stripe the tank down and give it a good soaking of a bath in warm soapy water. the tank breaks down very easily for cleaning. I was pleased to see some leather on the device albeit only on the spine, it's soft and cushy for a nice hand fit, I'm getting ahead of myself.

As everyone knows I prefer the look of straight glass over bubble glass most of the time because in my opinion a bubble glass tube detracts from the appearance of the tank and mod combo. Voopoo nicely gave the user a choice of straight or bubble. I installed the bubble glass and because it didn't really detract the appearance I almost used it in the review but chose the straight glass instead. I did want to show you though how it would look with the bubble glass 5.5ML capacity installed.

The Uforce uses heat sink cooling fins on the base that actually give off a very slight overhang once installed on the Drag 4, it's not really noticeable unless your looking for it, if this was a 26mm tank instead of 25.5mm it would fit perfectly I just wanted to point it out to you. The 810 drip tip is very comfortable and looks great on top with 2 O-rings on it making it proprietary so it stays on.

The top fill is a good one having silicone membranes over 2 fill ports to cut down on messes when filling, when approaching full on fill ups slow down as so juice doesn't overflow through the fill port. Top cap is a quarter turn and opens fine being not to loose or tight but just right.

Being top air leaking if any did happen isn't a worry, the Uforce L uses 3 airflow slots and is a very airy tank wide open to half way making it DL but closed down to 1/3 open begins to tighten things up for a very good RDL vape. the airflow ring ring spins freely with no hard stops at either end and because each slot has 3 individual slots of there own there are no turbulence just very smooth airflow. With the airflow closed down all the way very little airflow comes through.

Now that the tank portion is over lets check out the mod with it's wonderful C-Frame design. These are my favorite of all types of battery doors in you will because there is no door or hinge to fail years after your purchase. C-Frames connect using magnets and open/close very easily.

Batteries are loaded into the device and the cover just slides into place making a very secure connection of the 2 pieces. Battery polarity is clearly marked inside and a ribbon helps aid with battery removal when it time to swap out for fresh new ones.

The backside of the device has DRAG boldly printed on it and a battery safety warning as well. The magnets are strong enough to pull the cover on to the main housing.

The bottom of the device shows it's a sample version with the Gene TT chipset printed and not to toss old unsafe batteries in the trash. The Drag 4 sits stable with no rocking.

Up on top the offset 510 plate shows DRAG SPARK YOUR LIFE printed around it, the 510 pin is spring loaded and has a pretty stiff throw to it, I had no problem fitting other atomizers ( no gap )

I like leather on mods but only the spine is covered, it's soft with some cushion feel and has VOOPOO lightly embossed in the center, the leather adds a nice touch breaking up the metal and wood look. The corners of the mod could have been rounded off but I think it would have changed the look too much and besides they don't feel uncomfortable or sharp by any means.

We can now focus on the face or front of the device, you will notice there are 3 buttons at the bottom portion with the fire button being up top. Of the 3 bottom buttons the top one is actually a locking switch with the 2 buttons below being for adjustments.

The locking switch is multifunctional and can be used to lock the entire device or lock just the adjustment buttons but still be able to vape or turn the device on and off, your choice. The top option on the display screen is to lock the entire device while the middle option is to use the switch to turn the Drag 4 on and off flipping the switch.

The 3rd option with the W is the adjustment button lock, simply move the adjustment buttons to your option to activate and press the fire button to assign the lock switch to that function. To enter the menu press and hold both adjustment buttons simultaneously, here is the lock switch screen.

When you first enter the menu you are given the options of power mode, switch, puff reset, about, color and exit. I've taken some photos of the different options of power, colors and of course the locking switch display screen photo shown in the above photo, also the color choices.

In the hand the device fits well even though the tank is on the tall side it works for a very nice appearance of this combo of mod and tank, the bubble glass does shorten the length a bit.

FINAL IMPRESSIONS


I will have to say that the Drag 4 is my favorite of the entire Drag family, I mean being a dual 18650 and a C-Frame is great with a drop dead easy menu and the addition of a multiuse lock switch really sealed the deal.

I do wish the fonts were larger for my aging eyes though. The appearance is nice but I bet the resin series really pop.

I am a big fan of the PNP line of coils with the VM6 0.15Ω coil being my favorite until I tested the included TW15 0.15Ω coil, that is now my favorite. The flavor was great with the VM6 but it's even better on the TW15, I used a fruit mix during testing and it came through with sharp defined taste of the different fruits loud and clear. The TW20 0.2Ω coil is good but my favorites been chosen.

Airflow is very smooth with no turbulence of any kind at any setting of the airflow controller, and speaking of air this is a very airy tank so all you air lovers will really be happy. My favorite airflow setting that gives me a great semi RDL vape is 1/3 open or just a sliver open to restrict it further.

I just finished mine and I'm editing the video at the moment and using the 0.2 coil and WOW!!
Loving the flavor,had to close the airflow to 2/3rds or else its way too airy for me but other wise i am impressed by these coils.

Thank you my friend, the older PNP coils were great but these new PNP coils raise flavor a couple notch's. My airflow setting is exactly what yours is being super smooth in any setting you choose.
