Today I'd like to discuss the voopoo drag X2 80W Kit that was sent to me by VOOPOO for the purpose of providing a fair and honest review.
I've tested quite a few Voopoo devices in the past and I can confirm that they are almost always a great example of innovative features/design and a reasonable price.

This mod (along with Drag S2) is the newest add-on to the famous Drag Series by VooPoo which is one of the best selling Vape series in history and has a lot of fans all over the world and on ECF as well. I was very excited to check all the new things about it. Let's see what it is all about together.
The kit comes with some updates and improvements as always, including the new PnP X coils platform which is also an interesting add-on by itself.
Intro from Voopoo:
Drag X2/S2 are the first devices introducing an upgraded version of the PnP platform.
VOOPOO PnP X platform brings a long-lasting coil lifespan without flavor fading and coil burning. The thermo-stable cotton and mesh-distributed heating system of PnP X coil is able to sustain 100 mL e-liquid usage with one coil and company you for a whole season with a pack of PnP X coil. The improvement of PnP X coil significantly extends the coil lifespan and reduces the frequency and expense of coil replacement. Besides, VOOPOO PnP X coil can be used with the e-liquid in PG: VG ratio of 7:3 or 5:5, the e-liquid in flavor of coffee and tobacco and the e-liquid in type of freebase+nic salt. The wide compatibility with e-liquids meets users demands for a consistent, rich taste and a pure vaping experience with various e-liquids.
VOOPOO PnP X platform is a new upgraded platform based on the VOOPOO PnP platform, and its advantages is the long atomization life. Although the cartridges and coils of VOOPOO PnP X are not compatible with the devices compatible with VOOPOO PnP platform, VOOPOO PnP X platform is most suited to DRAG X 2 and DRAG S 2, whose long-lasting performance can only be accomplished with the PNP X platform. In order to further improve the user experience, we will progressively switch the vapes that are now compatible with VOOPOO PnP platform to the PnP X platform.
Top airflow intake cartridge that comes with the DRAG S2 and DRAG X2 ensures that the air pressure within and outside of the device is balanced, which effectively controls e-liquid and condensate leaks out, offering a satisfying experience.
The PnP X coil is compatible with a full power range of devices: 20-40W / 60-80W / 80-100W & 100W+.
As was stated, the new versions of VooPoo devices will be compatible with PnP X coils platform.

As you can see, without a tank, the sizes are pretty similar except the thicknesses, for obvious reasons (18650 battery).
Battery removal, exchange and charging process - very simple to operate.
The two magnets ensure a strong grip, you won't lose the cover.
Just DRAG
Hand feel is also very pleasant - it is not heavy but it has a comfortable weight to it.
It's also simple to operate with one hand only - both for the vaping process and navigating through the menu's are very comfortable.
Operating guide:
• On/Off: Press the Fire button 5 times.
• Lock/Unlock: Press the Fire and "+" buttons together, the product cannot be used during the lock function.
• Menu: Press the "+" and "-" buttons together then press "+" or "-" to select the setting then confirm with a tap on the Fire button.
• Smart mode (yellow background color) automatically detects the resistance and directly sets the power in the recommended use range, avoiding errors and damage to the coil.
• RBA mode (light blue color) allows the user to set the power manually.
• Eco mode (green background color) allows you to optimize the battery charge by prolonging the use time of the device.
• Software Update: Consumers have access to update to the latest software version on the official VOOPOO website (www.voopoo.com), requiring the specific USB Type-C cable that comes with the product. The side of the Type-C cable marked with "▲" should be facing downwards.
Keep your device fully charged to perform the operation.
I had No leakage problems during testing.
PROS:
Affordable price (around £30 + shiping in the UK)
Quality build (Zinc Alloy + Leather) and nice compact design
Compatible with the newest PnP X platform
Nice Tech innovations: Pnp X, New tanks with top-flow and no leaks

Very easy to operate (one hand manageable)

CONS:
Not a con, just a thought - I haven't had time to test this device for 90+ days to prove or disprove the 90 days per pack of PnP X coils but based on what I've seen during testing, this number might be slightly exaggerated but we will see about that in the future.
Considering its price and amount of innovations included I don't see any significant cons for this device.
Final Thoughts:
VooPoo created another great vaping device. An affordable, nice looking, quality built vape with a decent level of innovations, including their latest PnP X coil platform which is made to be their main platform for all new devices in the near future. VooPoo seems to be sure this platform is worth it and based on what I experienced testing X2 and S2 devices, I can confirm that the platform and the new coils are performing great.
X2 looks decent, hand feel is good and I can suggest it to any smoker who is thinking about switching from smoking to a healthier alternative.
I believe it's a great deal and I can recommend this device to ECF readers.
