► Voopoo Musket Box Mod; First impressions:
Musket Box Mod is part of Voopoo's V series line. According to the manufacturer, the "V" series combines innovation, next-generation technology and elegant design for its affordable and affordable Entry Level kits.

Simple ideas aren't always the least effective, Musket's form factor is minimalist and truly brilliant! It is a Mod consisting essentially of two tube-shaped casings joined together. VooPoo cleverly "to steal space" has positioned its Gene TT chipset at the top, just below the 510 cup.

The compact dimensions with this conformation take advantage of it, in practice the width and thickness are slightly higher than two 18650 cells. The weight of the Mod thanks to the aluminum construction is contained in only 103g, handling and weight are therefore two excellent data . Musket is a dual-battery device that is really comfortable to hold.

Two tubes artfully joined in full "Old-Style" style, on one side the wording "VooPoo" appears and on the other the Micro-USB charging socket to be used in an emergency.

On one side at the top there is a single selection button for all Musket functions. The round shaped key is made of plastic material and protrudes slightly, its perimeter is surrounded by a shiny metal frame.

The handle is completely smooth and its shape is truly ergonomic.

► Voopoo Musket Box Mod; Dual Battery:
On the bottom of Musket Mod there is a metal door with a knurled slider of hard plastic material. To access the battery compartment, simply slide the hinge and completely remove the cover.

The inside of the battery compartment has the positive and negative symbols on the bottom. The closing / opening interlocking system uses two slots on the mod and two "teeth", one of which is metallic and sliding, both present on the sides of the door. During the closing phase, you can insert the flap with the hinge to the left or to the right indifferently.

The screen contains a small monochrome display with rather small font sizes. The information that can be detected on the display concerns; charge level of the two batteries, resistive value of the coil, set power, preset function (Smart)
• Menu: To access the main interface it is necessary to quickly press the button 5 times, with each subsequent click we scroll through the settings and to confirm a setting press the button for a long time.
- Lock / unlock: Allows you to lock the Mod from accidentally activating the key
- Puff Clear: Allows you to reset the total number of puffs
- Off: Allows you to turn off the Mod
- RBA: Allows custom power adjustment from 5 to 120W
- Smart: With the use of PnP coils, the best power is automatically set, preventing incorrect selections and preserving the coil from burns
- Exit: Exit the menu and return to the main interface

• Power regulation:
Press the button three times, long press the button to quickly change the power from 5 to 120W, press with one click to change the power one point at a time from 5 to 120W. After three seconds of inactivity, the selected power is set.

The 510 thread remains slightly and intelligently raised so as not to scratch the shielded surface, so we can install atomizers up to 24.5mm in diameter in complete safety and without protrusions. Musket Box Mod is supplied in Kit with the PnP Pod tank but with its compact size it can also stylishly accommodate MTL atomizers for the joy of those who want a very long autonomy thanks to the enormous autonomy guaranteed by the two 18650 batteries.

► Final conclusions:
During the review I expressed my positive opinion regarding the Old-style aesthetic and the very good ergonomics offered by this double tube form factor with Gene-Chip and Display strategically positioned at the top to minimize the size of Musket Box Mod. The "old version" Gene-Chip for Dual battery works well and this is nothing new, it manages the battery charge well and offers the Smart function with automatic detection of the resistive value. Smart-function is really very useful if you are distracted. I believe that 120W of power are really enough even for the wildest DL vape lovers. One of the details that I liked the least is the poor visibility of the small characters on the display, unfortunately partly due to my weakened eyesight. I really like the one button solution for controlling the Mod and it takes very little to get used to the lack of Up and Down buttons.
Would I recommend Musket Box Mod? Certainly yes, for its qualities and its simplicity I find it brilliant. Brava VooPoo!
