I won this pod on a giveaway here and received it yesterday:
    rota1.jpg

    How it looks:

It is a stunning looking pod. My black one has a chrome finish which I love. The pod is light, but has enough weight in it to give it a good hand feel.

    How it functions:

Refilling is a breeze, the bottom of the pod has a rubber port that you pull out of the filling port. The port is large enough to be easily filled with a chubby gorilla bottle. Once the rubber port is resealed - it is extremely dry.

I found it completely leak-proof - a huge plus in a portable device like this.

It's draw activated. Has a 1.5ml capacity. The battery is 340 mah.

I left it to soak into the coil overnight.

    How it vapes:

It uses a 1.5 ohm coil which I found actually pumps out the vapour. I was really surprised how much vapour I could get. I'm normally a loose mtl vaper (0.5ohm coils). It also has a nice draw, not too tight. It doesn't get too warm when chain vaped either

Flavour was another surprise. Even for a pod, it has great flavour. Most impressed with this.

    The Spinner:

It spins ;) I'm not a fidget spinner person, so this didn't really interest me at all - but I'm sure it will appeal to others. I usually just used the spinner as a holder when vaping.

    Summary:

The rota is an impressive pod. Great flavour, plenty of vapour, awesome looks and function.

I'm very happy that I won this - thanks Voopoo :)

    Thanks for the comment.

I still await mine. USPS has a ticket assigned and await it's arrival to the US. I suppose it got loaded onto the slow boat. Someone told they have one boat that goes 27 knots and one going 9 knots to and from the US.

Looking forward to trying it out. Especially after seeing it doesn't get hot when chain vaping.

I love the slow boat ;)

When you fill the pod for the first time, give it at least a few hours or overnight to soak in. It makes a huge difference to the flavour

Great review, Ange - didn't know you'd won this. I won one back on Jan 4, and didn't think it was ever coming. Finally got tracking notification that it's in the US, so I should have it soon.

I've got to figure out how to mix a good juice for pods now- this'll be my 4th, but my diy efforts with salts aren't exactly what I want yet.

Yeah, I've just been using plain old 70vg/30pg normal nic base in mine. I find this pod is so close to a cigarette draw, yet airey and lots of vapour. Normally with mtl I do 2 or 3 puffs in one go, but this one I'm almost dl'ing it, just one big draw - like smoking.

Well, looking forward to it. I have to admit, though, I still can't believe they chose a design that directly appeals to kids...when it's a fidget spinner, doesn't really matter what flavor you put in it. But for me, I just hope it gives a decent vape.

Man, ya gotta love it when the pony express shows up early. Tracking said next Tuesday but it was on my porch today.
    Yippee!!

I won it in a Voopoo giveaway here at CPF.

    IMG-20190209-155323.jpg

So once I had removed the box from the poly bag it came in, then removed the Rota box from the well packed shipping box, then removed the celophane to remove the contents I noted the body and pod tank were each wrapped in a nice mylar type of sack.

My first comment unwrapping the body was "weighty, solid". Once removed I thought now that is pretty shiney. Fingerprint magnet though? Nope. Slippery? Not at all.

I unwrapped the pod tank and found it was easily filled after unplugging a rubberized bung that was easily pushed back in. It is soaking as I type this.

It's draw activated without an on/off button. But can I do a Harlem Globetrotter thing and spin it on my pointer finger? Nah, it's weighted towards the rear. Not sure if that is due to internals requiring the spinner to about center'd with the tank attached or if designers wanted the total package to have it appear center'd. But it does look kinda cool sitting on my coffee table spinning a good long time with a light twist effort... like a minute.

Ok, I let the tank set about 15 minutes. I usually let new stuff soak overnight but in this case I wanted to try it right away. For those familiar with a Sourin Air, you puff it from the corner like that. Nice, predictable MTL drag like those popular pod devices. Maybe weak for some, strong for others. I liked it just fine.

Flavor is on par with a typical pod. Now I use 6ml juice in pods and after a couple of drags it felt like I was using a higher amount. Got a little nic buzz from it.

Taking a drag activates a little blue light in the corner. Indoors it's easy to see but outdoors in sunshine may be another matter. Perhaps due to the curvature making the 'lamp' face kinda downward while puffing on it.

So after a few drags I put it on charge. Meanwhile I will do some research on the wick system, watts and ohms. Plus I want to see if or how it lets you know it's time for a charge. The little instruction book tells the get started stuff.

    Will add to this later....
    It's later.

Not much out there. I went searching for info explaining the 6-10 watts thing. Is it manually adjustable? Or perhaps lowers as battery discharges? Increases with a long drag? What? All the reviews I saw were 5-10 minutes talking about the spinner. Perhaps as more get out there the reviews will talk about the device itself more.

It seems the coil is kanthall and uses organic cotton to wick. Like AngeNZ said, it's 1.5 ohms.

Spinner or not, it's a nice device that puts out a nice vape and fits easily in a shirt pocket. Being weighty, you ladies would need to start your search at the bottom of your pocket book if that's where you store yours.

While charging the blue light stays on until done, then it turns off. It took about 15 minutes to charge from the factory, so I've no idea if it was near full or not. It did remain cool though.

I suppose as information gets out there others can add details. Again, my questions are about the 6-10 watts and how it lets you know remaining battery status.

If/when my local vape shop gets them I'll likely purchase more as gifts to the folks on my list of vape gear.

I'll report pod life when I know more, but my habits are lightweight vapes so lifespan on gear is much longer than many.

    Thank you Voopoo. Well done.

    Now some commentary:

Folks say these pods should come with a spare. I say this:
My new car didn't come with spare gas, oil or antifreeze, my new flashlight with batteries did not come with spare batteries. My new pair of shoe strings did not come with a spare. My coffee pot did not come with a spare vessel and my new inkpen did not come with a spare cartridge. So, yeah I'm ok with a pod system from Voopoo not coming with a spare pod tank.

But the spinner thing makes it so I have to hide it from my grandson. It's easy to understand that Voopoo might have figured adult folks switching from cigarettes might enjoy the tension release via a spinner. Yet it's also easy to see how the folks running regulatory agencies might see this as an item aimed at the age group who own the vast majority of those fidget thing-a-ma-jigz, which are not adults. So I've got one before big brother decides Voopoo tried to out-Juul the Juul.....( ie bans them)
At least they didn't call it "the Unicorn" lol.

Yep I keep the rota well hidden away from my 12 yo nephew too. He loves fidget spinners and it's not something he needs to see.

I'm glad you like yours - the chrome metallic finish is awesome :)

That and sometimes up grown ups like to play with toys...hot wheels, radio controlled airplanes and now a fidget spinner vape.

After a couple of hours when choosing between my go-to Zero and the ROTA I'm going for the voopoo. Not because it spins, but that it's actually a pretty good nicotine vape pod.

Yup, agree completely. I usually prefer an airy mtl/restricted lung style of vape - but I'm enjoying the rota's vape a lot

I won one of these, too. Really nice looking, solid. I could do without the spinner, to shrink the size or increase battery or juice capacity. I love the shape and feel of it. And the mouthpiece is great. Unlike the EQ or Nord, you don't feel like you're inserting an entire duck bill in your mouth.

Unfortunately, it's defective. I filled it and tried to take a hit, and it was like - wow - you REALLY have to pull hard to get a vape on it. There was so much air, it was unbelievable. So I started searching for the air intake, so I could maybe do something to restrict it. When I put on magnifiers, I could see the problem - the two sides were never fully pressed together.

I was really disappointed, because I'd heard great things about VooPoo's gene chip, and thought this might fire really well. Here's what it looks like. Looks like a huge gap, but you really can't see it easily without magnification.

I contacted them last week, but haven't heard back. Disappointing, of course. But since I got it for free, I can't really complain. But thought in fairness, I should let potential buyers know.

Damn that sucks - free or not, it should WORK.

There's a rota thread in the pod sub-forum, let them know in there too.
