Packaging:
They are supplied in a rectangular cardboard box, on the front appears the background number "2", the image of the gadget, its name and brand.
On the back they are listed; the content, warnings, manufacture addresses, scratch & check, a color indication of the sample, logos and legal trademarks.
The main features are displayed on the side in the form of icons, the QR-Code and the social icons that represent the groups where the brand carries out its promotional activity.

I got both versions in "Velvet Blue".

First impressions:
The design is inspired by neo-geometricism, while the dimensions and nature of the materials of the new Vinci 2 & 2X are all rather similar to the previous models. Vinci 2 is more compact while Vinci 2X (which uses a replaceable 18650 cell) is naturally more bulky, however both devices are comfortable to carry, robust and pleasant to the touch.

New heart:
Among the innovations introduced we find the new updated Gene.AI 2.0 Chipset, with 1.08 "color display with switch with two different graphic interfaces. Smart and RBA modes and the automatic / manual double Puff are always present (only on version 2) .
The resistances used are the timeless and high-performance PnP Coil. The picture is accompanied by a very effective "Drag style" AFC adjustment system.

Side profile:
The AFC control knob is made of metal, this system is able to fully adjust two abundant 7x3mm opposing slots.
The silver "Vinci" inscription is arranged vertically. Vinci 2 & X2 use a 2A Type-c USB port. However I recommend using an external charger (vers X2).
The 6.5ml cartridge / pod is transparent and offers wide visibility of control over the liquid level and from every angle!

Special coating:
A special plastic coating retracts and reflects the light through the complex integrated textures, the result is a particularly bright and colorful appearance, moreover this material would be able to resist wear, shocks, grease, dust and fingerprints .

Front section:
The large dark screen houses a bright color display, the round fire button is comfortable to operate and slightly protrudes. The Up / down adjustment buttons on the Vinci 2 version are arranged horizontally, while they are positioned vertically on the Vinci X2 version.

Compartment Pod:
The raised ring is a legacy of the drag-x and drag-s devices, this system allows the presence and functionality of the AFC also attracts the magnets of the cartridge in an energetic way, the ring is removable through 4 cross screws.
On the bottom of the compartment there are the gold-plated contact pins for the electrical transfer to the Coil, while the automatic Puff activation sensor is present only on the small Vinci 2.

Pod:
The cartridge has an important content of 6.5ml of e-liquid, offers a very good transparency and for the refill we use a well-sized side refill slot covered by the usual silicone tab.

Although I am happier when I see a replaceable drip-tip I must say that the anatomical shape of the spout allows the lips a good feeling during the vape. The coils are inserted from the bottom and in this respect nothing has changed.

PnP Coil:
Vinci X2 and Vinci 2 Mod Pod use the PnP Coil platform from which they can draw different options including the RBA for "do it yourself".
* The PnP VM5 and PnP VM6 coils to be exploited at 100% must be used on the Vinci X2 version which reaches 80W and is not limited to 50W like the Vinci 2.

Battery cover:
On the perimeter of the bottom / Mod there is a silicone rubber ring that in addition to dampening noises, protecting from impacts and giving the Mods a considerable grip to the advantage of stability in an upright position.
Both lids have no vent holes and report; the brand, the logo and the laser inscription "Designed by VooPoo made in China". The only difference is that the Vinci X2 lid can be opened to accommodate an 18650 cell.

Vinci X2 18650 Battery:
The battery compartment (Vinci X2) is easily accessed with the slide of the door, inside the door there is the negative pole marked (-).
This system appears to be safe, accurate and of good quality. After inserting the 18650 battery, the closure is also accompanied by a reassuring clack!

Vinci 2 1500mAh Built-in Battery:
The model with integrated battery supports charging up to 2A, for a full charge cycle it takes an average of 60 minutes.
During my tests I was able with the PnP-VM1 resistor from 0.30Ω to make 186 puffs at 35W, while with the PNP-TM2 resistor from 0.80Ω the result at 15W was 327 Puff.

How to use:
VooPoo Vinci X and X2 have in common the same color display where it is possible to view two different graphic interfaces (Mode / Corez) and the following information; graphical charge level, selected power, "S" mode (smart yellow screen), "R" mode (rba blue screen), total number of puffs, volts, resistance, last puff duration and activation mode.

- Power on / off: 5 consecutive clicks on the fire button.
- Choice of vape mode (Only Vinci X): 3 clicks on the Fire button to select vape mode only by means of the fire button [P], another 3 clicks to activate the only automatic vape mode [AUTO], another 3 clicks to activate both functions [A&P].
- Lock / Unlock: Press the UP button and Fire button at the same time to completely lock / unlock the mod
- Puff reset: Press the Down and Fire button at the same time to clear the Puff number.
- Mode / Corez menu: Press the Up / Down adjustment buttons together to access the S / R (MODE) and Iron / Corez (Theme) modes, once entered, lightly press the fire button to change between Mode and Theme and vice versa, choose the chosen mode with the up or down keys and long press the Fire key to exit.

* By adopting the "Smart" mode, the chipset automatically identifies the resistance by setting the best power, by selecting "RBA" the power is freely chosen by the user.
* For any updates you must go to the VooPoo website, connect the device to the PC with the supplied USB-C cable and download the update.

Final conclusions:
The renewed Voopoo Vinci X2 and Vinci 2 Mod Pods are solid and ultra portable devices, with the effective "AFC drag style" system they substantially reach the performance of the advanced Drag-S and X.

The new updated Gene.AI 2.0 has nice graphics settings and maintains the traditional searing snap as soon as you touch the fire button!
However, even in this case the performance with battery below 50% can be slightly affected by Volts down. It must also be considered that they are Mods aimed at RDL / DL vaping and in this case there are no particular drops with sub-ohm coils, so the power range is sufficient even with a flat battery.

Battery management in the X2 is good and it is good enough also in the Vinci 2 version, in fact the small 1,500mAh battery during the duration tests gave me good results.

The formation of condensation remains the true Achilles heel of these Coils, it is advisable to clean often and not leave the tank full of liquid positioned on the mod for long.
However, the VooPoo PnP coils are and remain at the top for energetic performance and very high aromatic yield.

Good review. I'm expecting these two to arrive for review any day now. I have to agree about the condensation or even seeping of liquid I've seen with other Voopoo devices I've reviewed that use the pnp coils. Like you said, the best thing is to not leave the pod on the device if it's not going to be used for long periods.
