Voopoo celebrates their 8th Anniversary with a brand-new look and design, including a renewed website and a refreshed visual identity that reflect Passion, Vitality, and Breakthrough. VOOPOO has released three revitalised devices which already feature their brand-new packaging design, incorporating the new brand color scheme and their professional vision.
This time I will introduce the new VRIZZ 2, the latest addition to their VRIZZ Series. With the new Dual Mesh Cartridge, VRIZZ 2 is back with an industry leading 15 ml super big e-liquid capacity, iCOSM 2.0 technology for more distinct and richer flavor, along with enhanced battery life, flexible power settings, and a precisely adjustable 4-level airflow system. The device not only mimics the disposable style but overachieves that with their innovation and professionalism Voopoo has already proven us over this fascinating eight years.
The VRIZZ 2 is equipped with a built-in 1350mAh high-density battery, that offers long-lasting battery life while maintaining a compact body. The VRIZZ 2 supports up to 30W output power with one-touch switching between three power modes (TURBO/NORM/ECO). The device perfectly meets the needs of MTL and RDL vaping enthusiasts and can safely be used with both e-liquid types.
Color and design:
I received the device in Black leather and there are a total of 8 colors available (Sunrise Green, Sunset Purple, Onyx Black, Azure, Pink Leather, White Leather, Blue Leather, Black Leather). To my greatest surprise the device is covered with real leather; at the right side the model’s name and at the left side a golden Vrizz emblem are embedded into the fine leather. At the back a tasteful pattern was added with a small Voopoo logo. This leather coating gives the device an overall elegant outlook and it feels soft in your palm.
The device supports 30W maximum output power with a one-touch switching button that allows you to change between TURBO, NORM, and ECO modes. TURBO/NORM modes activate both meshes for enhanced taste and power. In ECO mode, the two meshes work alternatively, increasing the cartridge’s lifespan significantly.
Battery performance:
The device has a 1350mAh high-density built-in battery that supports 1.2A charging, it takes about an hour to fully charge. The USB-C port is located at the bottom next to the airflow adjuster. The device has to be charged horizontally, it is safer to undertake the process without the pod.
The current battery level is displayed in percentage and it is the largest element on the color display, not to be mistaken with current wattage - the device operates in 3 locked wattage modes: ECO gives 15W, NORM 22W and TURBO 30W of output power. You can switch between the three modes with the button at the bottom of the screen. The selected mode is highlighted on the display and indicates whether one or two coils are operating.
I achieved best results for an authentic RDL vape in TURBO mode with airflow fully opened – the vapor is not too warm, yet it provides a rich, intense and flavorful experience with a decent throat hit. It is a similar experience as running a mod at 20-22W.
Size and weight:
101.3*50.2*25.4mm. Made of aluminium Alloy + PC, or leather + PC. It is lightweight with its 66 grams, 112 grams with a fully filled e-liquid cartridge. It is similar in size as the previous VRIZZ, yet the outlook is more mature and sophisticated. The premium material feels good in your hand.
Pod/cartridge:
the VRIZZ 2’s revolutionary dual mesh coil cartridge features an upper mesh that intensifies aroma and a lower mesh that enhances sweetness and coolness. The two coils function in synergy and they deliver an improved taste. The dual mesh features two heating meshes. In ECO mode, the two meshes work alternatively, which extends the cartridge’s lifespan to 200%.
With the new iCOSM 2.0 technology, this industry-leading large-capacity cartridge is designed for extended use and longevity, it can be refilled 4 times for a total of 60 ml e-liquid capability, or 80k puffs. The cartridge offers bottom filling, covered by a rubber plug.
During the two weeks testing I refilled the cartridge twice and so far, it tastes and performs as new, without any leaks or gurgles observed. I used 6 mg traditional e-liquids: the first week Vampire Vape’s Attraction and the second week a sweet custard strawberry. Both flavor profiles were complex and layered, giving me a satisfying experience.
The VRIZZ 2 comes with the new VRIZZ V2 cartridge 0.7 & 0.4Ω dual mesh cartridge and the device is compatible with the new VRIZZ V2 0.7Ω and 0.4Ω single mesh cartridges. While the old VRIZZ cartridge fits into this device and reversed as well, they are not compatible.
Final verdict:
The VRIZZ 2 is a massive improvement to its predecessor: it provides a full day of heavy use with the increased 1350 mAh battery. The VRIZZ V2 cartridge is more reliable, long-lasting and enables hassle free use without any leaks or gurgling. The precise airflow-adjustment provides noiseless functionality and the improved power output of 30 W delivers a satisfying vaping experience. The colorful display shows the basics (battery % and power mode) and the overall look and feel of the device is sophisticated – the device is simplistic and elegant. The VRIZZ 2 is a high-capacity and powerful entry level system, targeted towards those who want to make the responsible switch from disposable vapes to the ∞ world of open vaping systems.
I cannot mention any cons, maybe just the paperclip looking lanyard connector at the front which could have been replaced by the e-liquid window that now sits at the back of the device, which is unhandy. Although the device looks good with a lanyard!
