I've been meaning to throw up a review here since I got these - I put one in VS's forum and then promptly forgot
FYI I put my PV and voltages in my sigline now.
These are ALL PG btw
Cafe Sumatra 12mg
This is a coffee flavor that differs from normal black coffee roasted taste. Its not acidic, its slightly sweet but not sugary, there is a sort of spicy tone to it that I can't really describe; it has almost 'woody' or 'peaty' notes to it.
Its actually not unlike the smell of whisky (if youve ever smelled a good whisky - not the blended crap but a proper Scotch - thats what it reminds me of). I should point out though that the taste differs slightly from the smell - the taste is less peaty and woody and more robust and coffee ish but it still easy to pick this one out from other coffee flavors. Its like a gourmet blend you;d get ina coffee shop - if you've ever had turkish coffee, which almost syrupy, (when made properly its not bitter either) then thats what it reminds me of most strongly. Its a very different kind of coffee but in a good way! I find this a nice almost dessert-like coffee vape. Also the more you have of this the more you like it - it grew on me very fast. This one does tend to linger in the atty Ive found, (and it doesn't play at all well with fruit flavors) so it has its own 'coffees only' atty. Recommended.
VS vapor source their flavors from India, not China, so this is not Dekang or Dekang based and you can tell the difference in all their liquids. All the ones I've tried have a slightly spicy feel to them that is very 'India' - I've been to India so its quite a comforting aroma!
VS4 -12mg
This is VS vapor's version of the popular RY4 - but again its their own slightly spicy take on the deal. There a definite tobacco base to this one, when you open it you can smell the difference (and for people put off by strong smells, don't judge it until you vape it).
This one is really hard to pin down taste wise - tobacco and sweetness but not sickly sweetness, and not a sugary sweetness, its almost a maple syrup type of sweetness - very present on the inhale and less so on the exhale.
The first time I tried it, I wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy it - I'm used to the Dekang type flavors, which have a slightly bitter undertaste and this is a warmer toned vape altogether. However after a few vapes my tatsebuds decided I did in fact really like this one. I find it goes very well with EcoPure Toffee as well - makes it extra sweet for times I want it more dessert like. Also recommended.
Spiced Rum
This one was the only disapointing one in the bunch - and Eric of VSVpaor has since taken it off his list as he wasn't happy with the taste of it either. At least he seems concerned over quality control, and his reputation, which I liked
Its a shame because I was really looking forward to this one - it sounded great - warm spices and rum - but the flavor of the version I got was very weak indeed; not enough rum by far.
Once they get this one sorted out it ought to be very good - I just can't give a balanced review right now as mine was so weak as to be unreviewable in a fair way. Its fine if I get something I dont LIKE but I have a feeling I would have liked this if the manufacturer (In India) had got it right. Heres hoping they fix it.
Now for the bottles - as some people like that bit of info lol
These are heavy dark glass bottles, with super childproof caps, very hard to get off in fact for people like me with no motor skills
The only thing I don't like about these bottles is the dripper tip tops, which are tube-like, recessed, and really hard to direct drip with - but its easy enough to decant liquid or use a straw as a dripping 'mod' so I'm not going to take off marks for that as its obvious their primary concern here was safe storage.
All in all I was very happy with my purcahses from VaporStation and it was really nice to get liquids that have a different taste to them than so many others out there.
