took my VTR over to my friends machine shop to day for a small modification. I had been trying with a dremel and grinding stone but it was slow going.

The ring when opened up large enough for the aqua is less then 1mm. Even with him being very careful the reamer was able to tear the ring a little bit. Don;t bother me much and I will try to fix with JB weld later.

However, having this kick ... atty in the VTR ring is SICK! I love it.

is it just me or the angle but is the tank kinda slanted towards the right? is the inner wall pushing it out that way or does it sit flush? i wanna somehow fit a kayfun on my VTR, but i don't think there's any way it'll go on there without cutting the cage out completely. regardless i love seeing these modifications to the VTR.

Yes, the cage has to be completely removed to put the Kayfun on the VTR. I am going to mod my VTR so I can use my Kayfun Lites on it by cutting off the cage and building a new cage out of stainless steel. I have taken the top off of my VTR and it is plenty thick so as to allow the new cage to be bolted to it. I don't think the rotating 510 connector is strong enough to support the Kayfuns without having a cage.
