This is going to be my first official review of a mod. I chose the VV Army tank V2 because I believe that it is one of the most overlooked VV devices on the market and it deserves some recognition. I also want to give my opinions on what I believe are some of the strong suits that this mod carries as well as indicating some of it's flaws.
I contacted jmarkus regarding the VV Army tank V2 a few weeks ago. He was very accommodating and answered all of the questions that I had for him. I've noticed that he has some wonderful customer service skills when I communicated with him in pm's. He sounded like he had a lot of passion for his mod and was willing to stand behind it. Which said a lot about him as a business person and a mod producer. So, I made the decision to give the V2 a chance. Chose to basically let him decide which color it was to be. But, I did let him know that I wanted a green LED inside of it. Which only activates when you press on the button. Did not order the volt indicator since I already had one ordered from madvapes.
I then requested to be put on a waiting list for the V2 and it would take about three weeks. Literally in a week or so. Jmarkus gave me an email indicating that my mod was ready to be delivered. Which surprised me since it was done sooner than I initially expected. So, we traded paypal info and set the order to be shipped. It was a $107 shipped which was a fair price to pay for a VV bottom feeder. Within a few days it came in my mailbox.
Upon arrival I noticed that it was neatly packaged. Took the V2 out and really liked how it looked. It was rugged and the color of it was what set it off. Which was charcoal and in addition it had the same texture as well. Thought it was a nice touch IMO.
Here is the Army tank V2 fully assembled with my new COV Dual Coil Atomizer:
and here's what it looks like on the inside:
Everything looked like it was well put together and clean. It's roughly shorter than a REO mini but just as wide. Although, it's twice as thick as well. Which might be a little to much for someone with very small hands. Both doors are kept closed with two rare earth magnets. It also uses two 14500 protected batteries. I have, however used my AW IMR batts in there without an issue. There is also an on and off button inside of the second box. This will make it impossible to set off inside your pocket.
As for performance. J used a Madvapes style dial to move between voltages. You could either use your fingers are a small screw driver. Here are a few pics of the lowest to highest setting. First pic indicating the voltage not under load and the second under load.
Lowest Voltage:
Highest Voltage:
So, here's a summary of the advantages:
1. As you can see. This device has a good range in what voltages can be used. Which will fair better than some of the higher end VVPV's out there which can only go up to 5.5V and that's not under load.
2. Very light weight since it's plastic. You can easily carry this mod anywhere that you go and is very pocket friendly.
3. No leaks. In the two weeks that I've used this device. I have not noticed a single drop when I opened it up for re-fill.
4. Good battery life. With freshly charged batteries. I can get roughly 7 hours from this mod which is great in my book.
5. Battery indicator. The LED flashes when you press on the button indicating that you have to charge the battery.
6. Good feeding system. There is no spoke coming out of the 510 connection in order to feed it.
Now, for the negatives that I noticed about this device:
1. This isn't a huge deal but since it's so compact. It's a little difficult to pull the bottle out for re-filling.
2. Small catch cup. It would be nicer if he were to make the catch cup a little deeper.
3. I don't really like the button to this device. It would be nicer if it was a miniture horn style button.
4. Since it's plastic. There's a durability issue with it.
All in all, I give this a 8/10. I really like using it and for everything that is included in this device. It's worth the money and with a few minor changes. This will be a good VV bottom feeder.
