VV chip

hello all

can someone enlighten me on building a vv chip?

i read that you use a LM350T variable 3amp regulator but thats as far as ive seen
someone please help im heading to a local mega electronics store tomorrow and need to compile a list of things i need along with other stuff i see and will impulse buy..haha
