So I picked up my VV Grand this morning, pushed the button and ... nothing. Checked the coil on my RM2, made sure the screws were tight ... nothing. Made sure I hadn't switched the unit off, messed with the voltage dial ... nothing. Changed the batteries ... nothing. Panicked, begged, wept ... nothing. I tried the RM2 on another mod, and it fires right up, so it's not the atty. Anybody have any ideas?

With the atty and door off the mod, Take it to a darker place and see if you see a red glow around the Delrin on the right side when it's on? There's a concealed LED indicator in there and it is red when on and turns blue then firing.

If so, Try putting the atty back on and turning the wheel all the way to the left and hitting it - anything?

If no indicator it's either your batteries or the mod needs to see Rob for some love :)

Dang! Learn something new every day! I've had my Vv for over a year and never knew this. And I just checked, yup! Gotta hold it just right and look at the line where the delrin on the right meets the wall of the REO. Sure enough, it lit up blue. :thumb: Thanks, Supe!

As for suggestions, everyone is spot on. Wrap coils for 2.0 and higher. Also, maybe your RBA center pin isn't making contact on the REO correctly.

Ding!Ding!Ding! We have a winner! The problem appears to have been poor contact with the atty. I took a screwdriver and slightly turned the connector pin on the Reo, and Voila! Happy, steamy goodness once again. I'm so relieved. I know Dr. Rob would have fixed her up good as new, but the thought of having to be without her for so long was depressing.

Incidentally, the drama of the last 24 hour seems to have transformed her from an "it" to a "she" and at some point - I'm not sure when - I named her Vivian. Stress does strange things to people.

Thanks for the responses, folks :)

God help you. My wife's name is Vivian. She is headstrong and temperamental. :D
