Hi I've been looking at some VV mods such as ProVari and Darwin. Both are really nice (I really like the LED menu display) and something I would like to get however one has a ridiculous wait time and the other doesn't ship to Canada. Could someone recommend me some VV mods that do ship to Canada.. or perhaps PM me a Canadian supplier who carry them? I'm getting really sick of my 510's and I don't want to get the ego-t (anymore) and make a similar mistake.

The provari is a vv p/v and the darwin is a power regulated p/v and there is a big difference that I understand but I am not the right guy to try to explain it. I have a darwin and I still am amazed at how it works after almost 2 months with it. My only complaint is the hoops I had to jump through to get it to Canada but it was my choice as I didn't want to wait for them to be in stock here but in the end it cost around the same as the price will probably be here when it becomes available. I have used both the darwin and the provari and I don't have anything bad to say about the provari but I will say it's not a darwin. I would recommend you really do your research before making a decision and by then the darwin might be available here in Canada new at Happy vaper. If you really want a darwin I highly recommend you really watch the main classifieds as I almost bought one their and you don't have to worry buying second hand since the 1 year battery and 2 year device warranty goes with the device and not original buyer.

VapourGuy - I'm not sure what you're talking about. The Provari is also power regulated. The ProVape website says that "the ProVari has a regulated output which keeps the voltage the same with each puff." They use a boost circuit which is supposed to be more efficient than a linear regulator used in other VV devices. You can read their FAQ here: http://www.provape.com/v/faq.htm

Update: Okay I think I know what you're talking about. With the Darwin you set the Power and the ProVari you set the Voltage. They are both regulated but just differently. With the Darwin the power output will always stay the same even if your atomizer were to change resistance. The ProVari keeps a consistent voltage so in the odd chance the atomizer changes resistance, the power would change therefore affecting the vape. That is a really nice feature of the Darwin but I don't think atomizer's change resistance enough to make it a big difference.
