I suggest you start at a low voltage and try it, then 'up' it one notch and try again. You will find a 'sweet spot' that works for your taste buds and for the juice itself.
A general rule of thumb is add '2' +/- With a resistance of 2, start around 3.8 or 4 volts. For my personal tastes I am running lower than what I see most suggest. A lot depends on the juice itself and your taste
If you raise the volts up and it starts to taste burnt, that is too hot for the juice.

would it hurt my ecig in any way if i went to 4.8v just to experiment?
There really is'nt a best setting other than the setting you find most enjoyable. I'd have it at about 4.0 to 4.2volts to start off with, then I'd turn it up in small increments once the coil started getting dirtied up, but that just me.

On a 2.4ohm head vaping at 4.8 volts you are just under 10 watts - which might burn some juices. I usually vape around 7/8 watts which, on a 2.4ohm coil would be around 4.4 volts.

It shouldn't hurt the coil in the clearo though, but it might make your juice taste funky. Also bear in mind that the higher the voltage, the less time the battery will last.

Finally, you can see a chart (that is really a massive generalization but a good place to start) that shows different ohms / voltage combos just by doing a quick google search for vaping chart.
