I am new to vaping and I have ordered a provari mini and I am sure that I am going to absolutely love it. But I see all these beautiful high end mechanical mods and have seen a few vids on them. Should I have just saved my money for a hybrid or high end mechanical mod and some type of Genesis atomizer?

No. Provari is a great device.. You can always save for another pv down the road.. They would all be nice to have..

I have tried many devices, including some of the high end mods. For me the Provari hit a sweet spot because of safety, voltage regulation, features, and build quality. Plus the Provari allows me to adjust accordingly. For instance I have done 901 attys that hit hard and are very hot. I love their flavor. But on a fresh battery they are too hot for me. So I found myself using a 510 until the battery ran down, then popping my 901 on until the battery needed charging. With a Provari I can adjust voltage up or down to my mood.

I still own some High End devices but my Provari is my daily device, and I'd nothing else I use it test things before I use them on other devices, mainly for resistance.

There's also an issue of availability. Most high-end mods are highly coveted, and in limited quantities. Like a camera, "The best camera, is the one you have on hand when you need it." Same goes for PV, "The best PV is the one that you have on hand that's keeping you from going out and buying a pack of analogs."
