VV/VW recomendations?

Hi guys, this will make post #11 for me, so I can't start this thread in the APV or Vamo forum yet. Basically, I just got a Vamo and an AGA-T rba, and I. am. in. LOVE!!!! I underdstand the basics and how VV and VW works, but is there a general guidlines or recommended settings how-to I can look at? Has anybody come up with a spreadsheet that says is your resistance = x, your voltage/wattage should = Y? or something like that? I am using the NO2 or RMS setting b/c that's what Pbusardo recommends, but I don't fully understand why. I guess I'm just trying to figure out how to drive this thing and break as few things as possible along the way. THanks for any info

Also, from what I understand about your second question, Setting the VAMO to RMS is definitely the right thing to do.

Put simply, The VAMO (like most non mechanical mods) does not produce a true "flat" signal. Instead, it uses something called "Pulse-Width Modulation" to emulate a set voltage by shooting out a higher voltage then what is set, and then rapidly (over 30 times per second) turning that voltage on and off.

There are two common methods for determining the effective output of Pulse Width Modulation, One is RMS, and One is called V-Average.

Since during the "off" cycles of the pulse, the coil in your device does not return to room temperate, it is commonly accepted that the RMS calculation will get you closer to the effective voltage if the signal had been a flat output instead of modulated.

This of course is over simplifying things a bit, but it's not that far off.

...Not sure if that helps or makes things more complicated, But it's the best I can do right now 0_o

Welcome and congrats! The Vamo + AGA combination is a *powerful* one, usually not a first step for beginners! It does have a bit of a learning curve but once you master it I doubt you will have much regret. :)

That looks SWEEEET :rickroll:

Thanks! It literally IS quite "sweet" too! Just got in a sample pack from FuZion Vapors. That red juice is their famous "Unicorn Blood", probably my favorite of the three I am sampling so far. Very much like uhmmm... Hawaiian Punch but in a concentrated form... little blasts of flavor with every snap, crackle and pop! And their juice is decidedly one of the more colorful ones I've tried too. :)

It looks like a marriage made in heaven and although a cheapskate + I've got all sorts of delivery devices I just may have to bite cuz it just looks so perfect.

Edit: I think you should post it in http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/225727-pictures-your-setup-1317.html

Thanks for the charts and input. I've only been vaping for about 2 months now, but the friend who got me into it is in deep. He has taught me a lot in a short period of time. I'm a tinkerer at heart, and the AGA was a natural progression for me. I love the Vamo, but I think I've gotten the bug, and plan on buying several mechanical mods in the near future, as well as a few more RBA's - the vivi-novas just don't do it for me anymore
