If you're talking about the itaste vv v3, then yes - normal. Although with mine it isn't random. When hooked up to usb, and the battery is at full charge, first draw will have a series of green flashes with one red flash, then it vapes normally. After that the battery is not a full charge if you keep vaping - those flashes don't happen. But if you set it down long enough for the batt to go back to full charge, then the first draw will get the same series of flashes. Don't know why but it still functions...

sometimes I screw up and hit it three times without thinking about it when I'm trying to hit it and it will turn off.. but yours isn't turning off... does your atty read 2.1 consistently? Take a reading, then tap your atty around where the coil is and take another reading, see if it jumps at all. If mine gets a short it will flash for a little and then go back to being ok. I think it's supposed to turn off when it reads a short though.. The manual isn't all that detailed about indications.

Mine flashes randomly. I don't take long enough puffs to hit the cut-off. Always continues to work tho. Mines about 3 mths old.
Still works great. I think it's just saying "hi". :)

Make sure it charges to 4.2, my first one didn't.

I never use mine as a pass-through.

If I didn't use the pass-thru, I'd need a lot more than 2 devices! I use it on pass-thru always, when I'm at the computer. When I disconnect to go watch TV, I always check to make sure it's at 4.2 before disconnecting, but within 2 hrs, it's at 4.0 or 3.9, so I either hve to get it back on pass-thru, and go get the other one and use it instead.

That does seem odd about it flashing randomly though. Mine only flashes with the long hits, or when I first connect it.

You recharge at 3.9? Way too soon for me, I vape mine until shut-off- @3.7. It holds the vape levels fine until the end, for me.

It's actually much better for the battery not to run down that low, or at all; by keeping it on pass-thru, it never goes below 4.1 while connected, and no, I never ever let it get below 3.9, because I want it to last as long as possible.

3.7v isn't really "low", but you're right in general. On my eGo-c upgrades, they go through the 'white, light blue, aqua, dark blue - I put them on the charger after light blue.

It must be because of how I vape. I take three drags in quick succession releasing the button only for about a second

That's probably it; I've noticed when I'm dry-burning that if I press the button too soon after the last press, it doesn't see it as a separate press, and it starts that flashing business.

Nice having two of 'em though, so I can use one to work on my coils while I still have one to vape on. :D
