Hi,

Only got my ego a few days ago. Charged it when I got it and the green light came on straight away so thought it was fully charged. My ego stopped turning on today (got blue flashing lights to indicate charge needed). As soon as I put it in the USB charger, the charger light goes red and the ego button goes blue (normal from what I understand). However, after about ten seconds the blue light starts flashing and the charger light goes green. The blue light then stops flashing and the charger light stays green. However, when I take it off charge it doesn't work (obviously it isn't charged). Have tried with both batteries that came in my starter pack.

Any ideas - very closing to smoking a cigarette!

Is the contact on the battery clean? If it has some juice remnants or anything like that on the connector end it could mess up the charge. Same with a dirty contact on the charger side.

Do both your batteries act the same way? The charger is the one you got in the starter kit?

Other than that, I suppose it is possible you got a bum battery. I'd definitely contact your vendor if a quick clean of the contacts doesn't help.

I tried to clean it with a tissue - was tempted to use a baby wipe but not sure if best idea. Unfortunately I can't find the mains charger (read on the forum somewhere that they too strong so put it somewhere for safekeeping but obviously somewhere a bit too safe!).

Yes both batteries do exactly the same.

Thanks i will contact the vendor tomorrow!

The charger you got with your kit should only be too strong for 510s. That is, the 280ish mAh cigarette-looking 510s with the LED on the end. eGos/Rivas shouldn't have any problem with it. Definitely skip the baby wipes, give it a good cleaning with a paper towel/tissue, but not a baby wipe unless you want to meticulously dry it afterward (The problem would be liquid buildup, so don't buildup more liquid).
