The problem will be, if you get the button out, can it be fixed. All the batteries that I've played with (Manual & Auto) have the threaded connectors pressed in or glued. I haven't gotten one out yet without some form of damage. Now I just cut the case apart and use it as a housing for the connector.

1.) Heating it may loosen the glue, but them you take a chance of damage or the battery exploding.
2.) Screw something in the connector and pull. This may damage the threads beyond use.

I honestly can't think of a safe way to do this. Someone else may have an idea. Can you send it back for a replacement? If you can, that would be the best option.

I can't send it back as I have had it for more than 14 days. It appears to me that the hole is too large and that is why the button is now inside. I thought I could switch the button from the other battery, trade them back and forth, but that button tried to fall in also and I was able to get hold of it with tweezers and pull it back out. But thanks for your reply.

Can someone tell me what I need to take the threaded end off the battery? The button fell down into it and I'm hoping if I can get the end off I can get the button out. :(

Unfortunately Tilly, there is not much you can do that would be worth your time and frustration.

Honestly manufacturers and most suppliers will not tell you that the average life of any of the factory batteries is about 2 to 3 weeks,
So even if you got to fix your button, (very unlikely), it would be a waste since the battery itself would have died very soon anyway.

That is why we make mods, to save money in batteries and extend the life of our e-cigs as much as possible.

The only solutions to your problem are either getting a new one, building your self a mod so you can replace them for cheap, or buying a commercial mod that will be expensive but will pay off by itself in the long run.
