OK, I've been doing a lot of trial & error testing, just trying to figure out how to maximize my VX2 vaping when AWAY from any battery charging resources.....during those times when it's just me, my VX2 in the black carry case and I'm limited to whatever batteries & carts I happen to have with me. Here's a nice little trick for those times when the juice is running low and I need a few more good hits off my VX2. Sooner or later, you WILL be out of juice to top off the carts with...at least once in awhile when you are away from home...and miles from your juice supply.

The plastic mouthpiece which holds the cart has an airhole of about 0.060" (sixty thousandths of an inch). I found this black fiberglass rod that measures about 0.050" (Fifty thousandths of an inch) x 5.5" long, with nice little black rubber caps/grips at the ends. God only knows what it was originally for LOL. I used a Dremel cutoff wheel to carefully cut it in half. I stuck both halves in my little black bifold carry cases for my VX2's. When I'm OUT of top-off juice, my last cart is running dry and I'm desperate for a few more GOOD hits, I can just take my little push rod, insert it through the mouthpiece airhole and carefully PUSH the cart down a tad bit. This feeds the cart further over the atty so that the atty delves more deeply (greater penetration) into the cart stuffing, which allows it to more quickly atomize the juice that is settled lower within the cart. The downside is that you are basically compressing the cart stuffing, which will cause premature wear of the cart stuffing, which is essentially a more rapid demise of the cart stuffing...but during times of desperation will you really care? LOL...not me! So anyway, you can always just carry a large paper clip in your VX2 carry case as an emergency tool. It may sound silly, but it does indeed work; but be sure to CONTROL how far you are pushing the cart down. Don't push it down any further than needed. If you push it down TOO FAR you will actually block airflow...AND ruin the cart stuffing. If you find yourself RESORTING to this "emergency procedure" more than just occasionally, you'd better consider soaking, washing & drying out your atomizer very soon after doing it.

Just don't do it unless you MUST.

Logically it will cause a more rapid contamination to your atomizer tip.

Doing it repeatedly may be considered a "brutal barage" of fibrous invasions...so be sure to clean & dry the atty later on when you (hopefully) swap out your attys for routine PM (preventative maintenance).

Dude, you are hardcore ;)

Yea I have to second that! But considering, when I was a pack a day smoker, my motto was "I don't care how much I smoke as long as I don't run out!" I totally understand where Doc is coming from. The very thought that I might be in the middle of nowhere without a working vaporizer leads immediately to images of me running to the nearest gasoline station for cigarettes. With tobacco cigarettes I carried backup lighters. With vaporizers, I ALWAYS carry backup atomizers, carts, juice, batteries and chargers in my bag. One trip to the gas station, as far as I'm concerned, would be one too many. Ecigs can be tedious but they are certainly worth it and in so many ways assuming, of course, they don't fail.
