I received my black (with blue led) Vypr 510 today. It is a wonderfully well-built device! It feels slightly heavy, and rock solid. It holds one 3.7v 14500 900mah battery (of course it came with two and a charger). I'm upgrading from a Joye 510, so there is a bit of a difference.

I know that the Joye 510 is lower on the voltage scale, and that does equate to somewhat stronger vapor and flavor on the Vypr. I have been trying out some "reserve" juices I have around (not-so-great flavors or juices I only had a few drops left of). Even my relatively flavorless/vaporless Dekang blueberry is much better! All my other juices are giving me better flavor too. I also put a stainless steel "shorty" T-tip on it, which I absolutely love. The overall height of the device (with the shorty T-tip) is only about 1/2 inch taller than a standard 510 with a regular cart. The diameter of the base is just a hair smaller than a penny (looks like about 11/16 inch).

The button is a little small, but works well. It has a nice tactile response, and seems unlikely to go off by accident unless something pushes up against it pretty hard. There are four holes for the led to shine through. It isn't quite as bright as I expected, but it can certainly be seen even during the day. The button is in-line with the diameter of the four holes. I might have lowered it a little myself if possible. Also in-line with the holes (opposite the button) is a tiny hex screw inside a hole. I know the 801 style comes with adjustable draw. I imagine that is what the screw is for, but it will likely do nothing on my 510 version. I don't really plan on messing with it yet.

I can't say how long the batteries last yet, but come on. They are 900mah. I don't think I'm going to have to worry about recharging like I do my Joye 510. The battery is snug, and the end cap screws in easily. The spring is attached to the cap so it seems like it could be a little tricky while trying to screw it in. It is easy however, to get the threads to catch, and when they do it is like butter.

Overall, I'm very happy with it so far. My next step is to get some of those low resistance atties, if I can get my hands on them... I'm trying to be patient! I ordered my device on Thursday, and it came in the mail today (Monday). Customer service was great with Vaprlife, especially Mary who happily answered all of my stupid questions. I ordered my T-tip from Supersix on Thursday as well, and it arrived today too. I thought the price was a little steep on the T-tip, but I'm here to tell you, it was totally worth it! I love the shorty, but I might end up having to get a regular size just to have the choice. I do like how the Vypr looks with the relatively short 510 atty and a shorty T-tip.

This is my first mod, and my first dealing with Vaprlife. Be that as it may, I really feel like I am holding a solid, quality device, and the vape is most definitely a step up from my trusty old Joye. Great purchase!!

The VP2 is a great mod. Batty should last you most of the day if not all day.
I would carry a backup batt just in case.

yes the LR atty will be good.. Even the 510 cartomizers you would like.'

You got the vapr 510. Thought it was the VP2 but they are almost alike

Very light weight too..

I've been vaping on my Vypr 510 for close to two months now, and I'm still loving every minute of it! I did get the LR atties, and WOW! 3 out of 5 have died, but two are still going strong. The vape is certainly much better than the standard atties, and now that prices are equivalent and supply is more abundant, I won't be going back. Of course the only drawback is that they seem a little thirstier, and I do tend to go through a bit more juice.

I had an issue with the button on the Vypr. Seeing as how there is a 90 day warranty, it was no problem. I sent it back to Vaprlife and they fixed/returned it the day they recieved it. It came back quickly, and as good as new.

Let's see, what else... The 510 fitting was brass colored when I first got it. I guess due to heat, it turned silver pretty quickly. This was perfectly ok to me because every other metal fitting on my device (end cap, button, atty and T-tip are all silver. Of course this has had no effect whatsoever on performance, and I like it better.

Battery. I would typically use my Joye 510 consistently at work throughout the day, starting at around 8am. By 2pm, my first Joye battery was dead. I would switch, and throw the dead one on the USB charger. With the Vypr, the 900mah 14500 runs strong ALL DAY LONG. I get home at night and vape even more, and go to bed around midnight. In the morning, I put a fresh battery in and I'm good to go. If I try to start the morning with the depleated battery, it will usually die within a couple of hours. Essentially the 14500 lasts three to four times longer for me than the standard Joye 510 battery (taking into account time that I'm sleeping). I have no idea if the battery would last longer if I turned it around backwards or not. Doing so lets the device operate normally, but runs it without the LED. I never use this feature.

All in all, my experience has been EXCELLENT, and I wouldn't go back. the Vypr 510 is highly recommended!

Hey,
First off, Please do NOT touch that hex screw on the other side of your device. If you do, you will void your warranty.
This is used to hold the guts inside tight and keep it all from moving.
The adjustable screw for the 801 is in the head actually. (under the atty. yes, u need to remove the atty).
Just a heads up..

Ah, good to know Stu. I did wonder about it, but I never actually have been curious enough to mess with it. I kinda thought that what you said might be the case. After I got mine back from Vaprlife (for the button repair), I noticed a very slight tool mark next to the screw that wasn't there before. I guessed that it might be the key to get at the inner workings of the device, and what you are saying verifies it. The last thing I want to do is void my warranty or mess up something myself to keep it from working. I'd much rather vape it than break it!! Thanks for the info.
