Yes, it's real. The surprising part is not really so much they are releasing the Mini 2 so soon after the Mini ...it's the fact that they released the Mini at all, knowing the Mini 2 was hot on it's tail. Still, there's a reasonable business case for having a well-rounded product line. Believe it or not, some people actually prefer the built-in tip of the Protank/Protank Mini over the detachable one on the Protank/Protank Mini 2.

Yes, I saw just a few days ago that the TP mini2 will be coming out this or next month. Yes, I am a confirmed PTmini enthusiast. Have seen pre-orders available on several sites. Yes, *of course* I'm going to have to order one... or two... to check them out, but frankly, I like the looks of the original mini better. Why do they do this? 1) because they listen to their customers, who have had serious issues with the glue/glass/metal interface; and 2) because they can!

I like the looks of the original too. Any word on if the Mini 2 is eGo or 510, or both? Also, I'd not heard about the glue issue with the mini v1. Again, good thing I only bought 1.

Protank Mini Was slated for production and Parts acquisition complete before planned release of the Protank2. In business this requires a continued forward movement to avoid loss.
Though not yet confirmed, I imagine the Sealing material is the weak link in original Protank and mini. This seems not to be effected by normal e-liquids and/or normal to light vaping. So possibly excessive eat or acidic juice failure occurs.

Venders should get this sorted and make buyers aware of possible issues and usable function.
PT2 and mini should have no leaking issues unless a seal fails. Simply use caution not to over tighten things. Crushing kills.

I actually like the metal drip tip on the orig. pt, but it'll be nice to be able to use other tips on the ptmini2, as I use different colored tips to identify which juice is in each tank.

Was just thinking about it possibly being the tank-eating juices that could create the glue problem as I was scrolling down and saw crxess' post. Haven't tried any TEJ's in my orig. pt, which may be why I haven't had any problem with them. So I guess I'll reserve the 2 originals for the all-day menthol vape and use the ptmini2's with the tank eaters.

I'm suddenly so glad I didn't pick up my Protank yet! I was going to tomorrow, but now I think I'll get a carto tank and a few carts instead. I have nothing but bottom feeders because I thankfully had a lot of family member's top feeders to play with and discover I don't care for them before hand, but I'm curious about cartotanks and direct drip so now I'll just experiment there until the PT2 comes out!
