Has anyone else had a completely unexpected (good or bad) response to the typical "what is that" conversation?

Only in the one bar I've vaped in. All the smokers were looking on in envy and the waitress complimented the smell of my Key Lime juice.

Of course, vaping is legal…in Georgia.

Is that an explicit thing or is it just not banned? Link?

I ask because I've been confronted about smoking unfiltered cloves in the past as well as photographing where it was slightly questionable. I carry around print-outs of relevant laws in my camera bag and might do the same vaping in case I run into issues……if they're short enough to fit in my wallet or vape case.

It can really come in handy to be a little old lady sometimes. :D

Being white & polite has gotten me a long way before. I can't imagine how much easier it might be to remind people of their mom as well. (no offense intended, ma'am).

I sure hope states don't start listing what is permitted with the default being that it's not permitted. At this point, PVs are legal in every state. New Jersey and Utah do have restrictions on where they can be used though.

Oh and I have vaped openly in a indoor restaurant in Georgia. :)

Agreed. I thought there might have been a court case I could site where someone got cited for "smoking" where they weren't supposed to, fought it, and won.

And, yeah. Zero problems in Atlanta for me so far, but I've only done it places that would be considered private, places where smoking is tolerated, and one bar.

I was kind of worried about it when I went to the rainbow gathering, because they might've confiscated my stuff since the rainbow family is associated with drugs in LE's eyes a lot of times. I was imagining them thinking I had vials of really serious stuff, and having to wait for them to make sure it was just vaping stuff. lol. Never got searched, tho, didn't stay long anyway. I do like to take my battery with the LED lights when I go anywhere, though, so people can see and ask. Have really only talked about it to a bouncer, though. He wouldn't let me vape because he didn't want to have to deal with a bunch of smokers just cuz of one person, and I didn't blame him. I just smoked in the ladies room and noone was the wiser (i could hear the music in there fine, and actually stayed in there and danced and vaped for a while. it was a nice bathroom! lol). I did smoke in the clearance aisle at dallas shoe warehouse, but I was discreet about it, so nobody saw. Of course, nobody noticed any smells, either. :)
