How many cigarettes were you smoking a day?

What nicotine strength are you currently using in your e-liquid?

The nicotine strength is what determines the "throat hit" or burning sensation in your throat when you vape. You may consider dropping down a level of nicotine. The pg in the pg/vg ratio of the juice also contributes to the throat hit, but to a lesser degree. You may need to use a higher vg ratio when picking your juice.

10 cigs a day = 06 mg nic
20 cigs a day = 12 mg nic

30 cigs a day = 18 mg nic
40 cigs a day = 24 mg nic

I smoked about a pack to a pack and a half a day. I'm using 12 mg nicotine. And it is only one cool. This is how it was when I would chain smoke cigarettes. I'd wake up with my chest burning. I might have the voltage up to high. I'll try turning it down.

Well, you actually dont HAVE to inhale into your lungs to absorb the nicotine in vapor. Most of the nicotine in vapor is absorbed in the mouth and throat -- a different size molecule than the nicotine in smoke.

Like people who smoked tobacco from a cigar or pipe, you should use a mouth inhale, and not a direct lung inhale while vaping. Imagine sucking on a straw in a milkshake. Use your cheek muscles. Get a mouthful, and hold it. This allows maximum absorbtion, and also cools the vapor. If you wish, you can inhale a little of the vapor. Over time, your body will adapt to vapor like it did with cigarette smoke.

Be certain to drink plenty of water. Pg and Vg can cause dehydration, which can cause a dry mouth/throat.

Are you vaping on the same coil for a week?

The coil might be gunked up and burning gunk.

Sometimes when I take a draw and inhale it will burn the hell out of my chest.

Oh, no; something is definitely wrong there.

Stop that.

I'm guessing your tastebuds and throat are shot an you're not tasting the toxic fumes you inhale; your chest shouldn't be burning

So do you think the chest burn on inhale is because the vapor is too hot? I'm assuming that would be why it hurts In the morning.

So then what am I doing wrong? I like vaping so what can I do about that?

If it is because you are vaping on the same coil too long and the coil is gunked up then you need to dryburn the coil to clean it.

You can also try washing/soaking it; maybe try hot water or vodka.

If the coil is low resistance, it could be causing a harsh hit. I know I can't stand low resistance coils because the vapor is too hot for me.

Most coils are available in either low (lower ohm number) or standard resistance (higher ohm number).

The Evod coils are available in:

1.8 Resistance
2.2 Resistance
2.5 Resistance <-- cooler vapor
