Hello again,

I received today my new 1000mah eGo twists. I am currently using a Ce4 clearomizer on them, prior to the twist I was using just a standard eGo C battery. I've always struggled with burnt tastes but today just solidified for me that these Ce 4's are far too unreliable and hit and miss. I NEED something consistent and hassle free. I am willing to spend money on something better. When the Ce 4 works, it works very well, but this happens very rarely. 90% of the time it is completely burnt.

The Ce 4 I have is 1.6ml (so I think that's 1.6ohms as well?) I have my voltage set to about 3.8 , anything above that and it's a horrible, horrible burnt taste.

I would rather go back to cigarettes at this point as the burnt taste is just so foul, it seems very unhealthy for me to be inhaling all of this burnt plastic, metal, wick crap.

So I need something better and the problem is I don't know what that is? I know Ce 4's are notorious for being inconsistent, and I've had the biscuit with them. I am in Canada, so I am not sure if that makes this any different for placing an order for something different.

I am open to suggestions! I have done all I know how to make the Ce 4's work. I have 3 of them and only 1 of them "works" the other two are ALWAYS burnt tasting, regardless of what juice, voltage or how clean it is.

I am beyond desperate for something better, this is ruining my vaping experience and making me want to smoke again.

(sorry to whine, I just spent a lot of money on this system and it's failing me hardcore haha)

Don't feel too bad. I'm right there with you. I just junked my first CE4, I have very few things left to vape out of, and im freaking out a bit. I have some Ce3's and like the ce4, when it was working it worked fine. But I'm having too many problems to suggest those. I've heard great things about ViVi Novas and Tuff tanks from Vape dudes.

I will second the ViVi, it works great. I've put several weeks of use into mine and it's really very nice.

CE4 by microcig-junk for me also. Did you not like the ego-c? I'm switching between the ego-c, carto's and the authentic Vision ego Clearomizer and find they all work fine, not even a coil burn out yet after 53 days. But, im sitting home on my summer vacation and have time to keep refilling and messing with. The VIVI,by Vision im told, does sound good.

If they are the short wick you have to tilt the clearo every so often to wet the wicks. This is the reason I didn't purchase clearos until they came out with the long wick/ rebuildbale version. Stardust long wick clearos working great. Also tried the Vivi Nova and same result except the Stardust looks much nicer on my PV.

I am in the same boat as you. Don't give up. I am new to vaping and have not tried the Vivi because they seemed too bulky for me to use at work. I have the ego c twist also. 1 650mah and one 1000mah. I had luck with the vision v2s for a while but both of them started to leak and harsh burt plastic taste in my mouth. Maybe I am doing something wrong. It doesnt look too pretty but I have had much better luck with the boge cartos. I have both the 2.0 ohm and the 2.6 - 2.9 ohms. Both of them give me a great taste and good vape on the ego twist at 3.8V for the 2.0 boges and 4.3V for the 2.6 -2.9 boges.

I wish I could find a clearo tank that works for me but not yet. Seems like every week they come up with a new & improved version which tells me they have not found one that works well (without getting them home and reworking them). Too much tinkering for me. I just want enough nic in a device that is reliable enough to keeps me off cigs... (two weeks now) Good luck and keep on vaping .... ;-)~

The only other more reliable tank ive found is the vivi nova. its rebuildable, same great taste not polluted by carto filling etc ... btw theres no way i would go back to clearos after the vivi. it just doesnt compare. only takes 3 mins to clean/dry burn vivi nova ... or slap a new $2.50 head on and its new again. Just hard to beat at the moment .. .vivi is where its at for now.

Thanks all for the replies!

So I have been digging around a little more and keep reading good things about the Kanger T2 and the Vivi Nova's. I am honestly so new to all of this so I am trying to take as much as I can in. The lingo and technical specs get a bit confusing!

But here's what I have found based on your suggestions and my reading, cany anyone help advise if this is a good route to go? I was thinking of ordering a couple of each to see which I like best.

Vivi Nova 2.5 super secret back door edition + replacement parts Long Wick SR now available.

and

t2 T2 Kanger Changeable Coil coil 5

I was also looking at Cartomizers but that's a whole new ball game for me. I was browinng the smoktech's ? I like the look of them as well haha

IDK if it's cheap, but I got mine from gotvapes and like it. I might pick up one more to try juices in (so I don't use as much of a sample bottle at once) but I'm sold on the full-size. Will be picking more vivi novas up as I find more flavors to leave in them.

I just wish people had the vivi nova 2.5 with different color tubes instead of having to buy the colored tubes separate.

I had no luck with the CE4s either. I've been mostly using CE3s, which are hit and miss as well, but they're cheaper and when they work well, I think they're about the best thing out there. The only problem is that I only get three or maybe four that are that good out of a pack of five.

Just got a Vivi Nova in the mail today from GotVapes and I love it already. It's already better than CE4s ever were and almost as good as the best of the CE3s are, and it's obvious that cleaning it and rebuilding it is going to be a breeze when it gets to that point.

The only problem I could see with the Vivi Nova is the bulk, but I use a Wraith VV that happens to have a flat top and is actually just a hair wider than the Vivi, so it fits perfectly. On an Ego or such though, it would be a bit bulky.
