Hi
This has been a learning curve so far and have been reading these forums for a while. Started off with a popular 2 piece system but didn't like how hard it was to draw and the weight was tip heavy. So wasted that money. Then bought a 3 piece and am refilling as well. Seems better but still seem to want a real cig throughout the day. Don't know if that is just mental or I still don't have the right unit. I know it is personal opinion but are like the ego's or tornado the way to go or just get more used to my 3 piece. I want to be totally off reg cigs. I have the fifty-one trio and have had no problems I like the ease of draw and vapor seems ok. Please help guide me through this new to me endeavor. I don't want to keep wasting money if I dont need to. Should I just continue to use what I have or will I get a better more fulfilling expierence with a different product.
Thank You

I started with a 510 and quickly switched to the eGo. The only thing I didn't like about the 510 was battery life.

I still have the occassional craving for an analog, but this is usually when doing something that I normally would have done with a cigarette in my hand (driving, etc.). These cravings are fleeting and not very severe so they are easy to get over.

As with anything that is worth the effort, it takes time and patience. Keep trying and find the right equipment and juice combo. I would recommend the eGo as I am satisfied with it (although I am considering a MOD at this point) and juice is such a subjective item that you really just need to experiment and find something you like (I usually carry 6 10ml bottles to work with me for variety).

The eGo/RiVa family is also a three piece; the main difference is just the longer battery life. You might need to bump up the nicotine level in your juice. With the increased battery life, you could try a LR atomizer/cartomizer or, if you spend a lot of time at a desk, try a 5v passthrough. I had a real hard time kicking the last two cigarettes until I tried those two things and was finally able to give up those last two. I've since stopped regularly using the LR attie and the passthrough since it's a bit too much, for me packing enough punch that a couple days of use leaves me feeling as if I've just chain-smoked a couple packs.

Could be that you aren't using a high enough milligram liquid? You don't say what strength you are using. Also, are you refilling your cartridges (topping them off) or are you using prefilled cartridges? Having refill liquid around also makes a huge difference. Prefilled are expensive and run out of liquid quickly. Most people use around 3ml a day.

The best immediate success for most new users seems to come with the 510 or a KR808 (which is a cartomizer) models. The small e-cigs that look like a cigarette just don't seem to put out enough vapor to satisfy most people. The small battery size is another PIA on the mini models.

The Library links JJ posted are a great place to start reading about what models are available and the pros/cons of each one.

I started with a V4L two piece and I am still very pleased. However, I found that I still craved cigs every morning and a few times in the afternoon. Now I keep two strengths of nic around. I Use 24mg when I want a cig and 18 the rest of the time. The starter kit came with two auto bats. I have since purchased two manual bats. The manual batteries get you a bigger hit with less draw. I just ordered an ego kit with manual bats and the mega cart and atty. I have a hurricane looming and I am sweating battery life in the event of a few days without power. Also I've heard so much about them here that I am dying of curiosity. So my advice, try a stronger nic juice when you want a cig, and try out a manual battery. Opps almost forgot, my V4L passthrough is the bomb in terms of lots of vapor for little effort.

I am using e liquid 18mg tobacco flavor that says TC on the label I bought when I got my kit. What is a good liquid. I have been looking at Johnson Creek Liquid

Are any of these options available for my fifty-one trio

Problem found - prefiiled stock carts. If you smoked lights the the 18 should be fine, if full flavor go up to 24 or even 36 and get some juice to refill. Stock carts usually have little to no flavor ot TH, and don't last as long as they claim before running out. (Note that empty is lack of flavor or reduced vapor- not 100% dry)

What juice you will like is an individula taste thing. PG gives more TH, VG more vapor. Some find Dekang flavors perfumy, medicinal or, chemical, others love them. As the supplier if they use Dekang, if you find one you love or hate, so you know to either look for it or avoid it. Backwoods is good, but so are many suppliers so, really that's up to you.

You might want to bump up with some 24mg for those moments when you really want a cig. It can help.

I like Johnson Creek. The Summer Peach rocks (and I don't like fruity flavors). I also like their tobacco flavors (Original and Tennessee Cured).

VaporStation liquid is one of my favorites. His tobacco flavors are great and he has the best fruit/beverage flavors around. Try his sample pack to check out flavors without getting stuck with a bottle of something you might not care for. Good prices and usually has a coupon code/sale going. He's in the Supplier's forum.

I vape Halo Smooth 8 (a ginger like tobacco) most of the day, their Menthols are all good (and a good throat hit). RY4 (a sweet caramel tobacco) made by most anyone is good, as are all of the standard DeKang tobaccos (their fruit/beverage flavors suck though). DeKang tobacco range of liquid is the best and least expensive.

BTW, the model number you have is a RN4081. You can find some compatible batteries and atomizers for replacement so you don't have to go back to Smoke 51.
Here is an example of prices RN-4081

Another option for you would be this adapter which will work with your RN4081 atomizers. With this you can use a 510 manual button battery (which you can find most anywhere from ECF Suppliers and on sale usually!). You also could purchase a Mega 510 battery (longer in length, but will run for 4 hours off of one charge). Good price on the adapter (get a couple if you go that way, as they get lost once in a while), though I don't know anything about this vendor:
1x 510-4081 silver adapter(510 bat to 4081/103 at)

Thanks for the heads up on the model number I have been overpaying for the smoke51 brand

So if I am getting this if I buy the adapter and the mega batteries maybe I wouldn't need to buy a whole new system like the ego
I am assuming I would need a new charger for the batteries correct
Thank You sorry for all the questions just want to get the most out of this without constantly wasting money on the wrong purchases

Yes, you'll need to buy a charger for the Mega batteries if you buy the adapter.

You can put up a Wanted to Buy (WTB) in the Classifieds for the Mega bats and a charger. Classifieds and swaps - E-Cigarette Forum You'll probably get a few bites. Just check out the retail price first and look for sales to compare retail (don't forget most sites have at least a 10% off coupon code).

You can then try out a 510 atty some time also. If you don't like it, you can use the RN4081 attys you have with the adapter still. The RN4081 are great to drip/dip with and make good vapor. If you do like the 510, you can always upgrade later to an Ego.

OK now I am wondering, do I buy adapters and batteries and another charger to increase the performance of what I have or keep what I have and by different eliquids to try or just buy the ego kit (just found it for $49.99 2 manual batteries, charger, 2 atomizers and 5 carts)?
This is from greenhouseone.com from china and canada. Their eliquid prices are great. Any feedback on the e-liquid. It is $8.99 for 30ml
Sorry to ask so many questions just what to make the next purchase a smart one
Thank You

Can't go wrong with the 510/Ego kit. Just make sure it is a real Joye Ego. Knock offs are usually less and that's a pretty low price you're quoting, so doubt that it is a genuine Joye. Your other e-cig will make a good back up (and you still could just get an adapter later to use the attys on the Ego).

You can get good deals on e-liquid here in the States. EMS shipping from China is killer $ and that's too high a price for 30ml from China.
30ml for $10 at DATS Vaper
30ml $7.99 VV e-Liquid (MED) : ValueVapor.com, Discount Electronic Cigarettes and e-Liquid
Clearance liquid can be found for $4.00/30ml at http://www.mist-stix.com/category_s/72.htm and regular price is $15/30ml

Also watch for sales and clearances in the Supplier's forum and look for more discounts through coupon codes from this list: https://docs.google.com/Doc?docid=0AXQuWOYlCSL1ZGc1NHZjdHNfN2Riemc4Mnc3&hl=en

At this point it sound like you are ok with your current battery life so I would look more into juice (amount of nic, flavor, pg% to VG%) from a few venders. Freedomsnokeusa , vaporbomb, vapor station, back woods brew, tastey vapor seem to get good reviews by most users. Also several reported having to wean themself from analogs. Mixing a few analogs in with the vaping and slowly cutting the number of analogs back. A few just have an analog when they feel like it and some report that after a while they did end up quitting the analogs. Good luck!

Wife and went from mini cigs to the eGo...like day and night. We wanted something with extended battery life and are now getting it. Having to add liquid every 5-10 minutes is somewhat of a hastle but well worth it. Haven't used tobacco in several months. Mostly use 24mg liquid.

The ego doesn't have a cart that you can fill like my fifty-one that lasts for a bit?

I've only been vaping for 3 days, but I've already ordered an eGO for better battery life. I've found that I don't miss analogues at all, but a few times during the day I catch myself walking out into our garage (where I smoke) to have one. It just seems to be force of habit to do that even though I'm vaping inside the house.
