First off, I would like to say that I am very excited. I first heard of e-cigarettes from a blog that i frequent, Ace of Spades HQ
the owner of the site recently started to use an e-cigarette, and I though it might be a good idea. I have smoked analogs for a long time (about 15 years) and I was very excited to find something that could take the place of regular cigarettes. I am 28 and I have tried for a very long time to kick the habit, but nothing has worked. I tried the gum, and I came right back. Chantix was awful, and it made me have freaky dreams and, well I did NOT like it. When I heard about the e-cigarette I was dubious, but reading all the info about it I changed my mind.
I ordered the Titan off of TW, and I really want this to work. I will be getting my first personal vaporizor :) on monday, and I would really likel to make sure that I do this right.
I watched the video that Spikey posted, and it is really great. I think everyone that is interested in this should watch that. I do have a question though. I would like to make sure that I am doing this right because I REALLY want this to work.
So, if anyone has any general advice, I would really appreciate it. I have read about the 'dry burn' and I think I know about dripping and priming the cartridge, but I want to make sure that I don't do anything wrong with my fist starter kit.

I have ordered the TW Titan and a , bottle of the TW unflavored liquid (36 mgl, which I plan to dillute).

I have a bunch of friends at work that would like to try this when I get it, and if vaping is as awesome as I think it will be I want to be able to turn them on.

Any input is very appreciated. :)

First, have patience. It will take a little time before you are completely comfortable. Things are bound to go wrong, but can be easily remedied. Use this forum as a resource.

You likely will notice a bit of a strange taste for a little while once you start. This will be the primer fluid in the atomizer. it will usually go away with a day or so depending on your usage.

If you haven't done so, get at least 2-4 extra batteries and 2-3 extra atomizers. The Titan (aka 510) is a great unit, but the battery life is not the best.

Also look at a PCC for this unit, especially if you are out and about a lot. Widows Bead Work - Home or Rocky Mountain Vapor are great sources for 510 stuff. Your unit is called the Titan but it is a Joye 510 and thus compatible with any other 510/Dura/Yeti parts and accessories.

Good Luck and Welcome to ECF!

Reillj........Great first choice on PV with the Titan..I only wish it would have been around when I first started vaping. I would have to agree with Elendil on stocking up on extra batteries and atomizers.I have bought from both Widows Bead Work and Rocky mountain Vapor and found both to have excellent parts for the 510,and great service as well. The particular model you purchased is ideal for direct dripping as well! Good Luck...I'm sure you'll be telling your friends as you mentioned. Welcome to the ECF!:)The Wiz!

Thanks for the responses; I will definitely grab some extra parts. :)

Should I assume you also will have flavors to make your own juice?

Not yet; I when I was first ordering I had no idea that this place existed, and I wasn't sure how you mixed flavors or which ones were any good. I figure that I will order flavors and some extra parts next week and deal with the prefilled carts for a few days. I would rather learn on the crappy prefills anyway.

Any suggestions on flavors? I was leaning towards lemon, even though the reviews were a little 'meh'.

Wow, I just got my 510, and I have to say that after a few hours of messing around with it, I think I finally got it working. It didn't really vape well with the cartridges that came with it, so I dripped a tiny bit on the atomizer and BOOM! it kicked me right in the teeth.

This is great. 6 hours, and I don't even want an analog. I'm crossing my fingers for no morning smoke. :) Thanks for your help so far guys, and I'll probably have some more questions.

I am a big fan of vanilla!! I got the 36mg and it was a bit strong so I diluted it with VG and it still tastes great!

Once your taste buds come back you'll be thankful for the variety of flavors available. I bought 100ml of "Marlb" flavor when I started and after about 3 days it tasted totally different and I had to emergency rush an order of different flavors.

Not sure if anyone has linked this yet but it's a great site with quite a nice variety of flavors: Dawnsings E-juice
