Hello all, im after some advice from all you nice guys and girls :D

Been vaping for about a year now and i love it. My main set up that i use everyday is the Innokin MVP v2 with the Kanger Protank 2. don't get me wrong, its a kick ... set up compared to starter kits but im wanting something different now, i feel im ready to upgrade and move up ;)

The problem is i have no idea where to start. I've been looking at certain websites at mods but obviously there are thousands. I don't mind shelling out a little bit of money but i mean a lot are over £100 and when im not sure, its alot to spend. I do have a local shop but as you can imagine, its over priced compared to deals on the internet.

If you guys can offer any advice on where to start it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Tempz93

Tempz, for those who have demonstrated that vaping is a mainstay in their lives and are willing to shell out some good money, I would recommend a Provari. It truly is the pinnacle of regulated mods. It does exactly what you want time after time after time without fail. You truly feel confidence when using this mod. There simply is no better regulated mod available. And no, I'm not a Provari snob. If you were new to vaping or on a very strict budget I would not recommend the Provari. Even if you have to wait a few more weeks to save up a little more it will be worth it.

Thanks for the recommendation Bronze. I've just had a look and its a little on the expensive side for me at this minute in time although i didn't read one bad review and everyone had a similar opinion to yourself so maybe in the near future i might invest. Is there anything lets say, downwards of £100 you'd recommend ?

Well, 100 pounds is about $135 US isn't it? You can get a Provari Blem (blemished products that you will probably not find the blemish on it) for I believe $140 US. I wouldn't be pesky about this if I thought for a second you would regret it. Quite the contrary.

Tempz. Blems come and go. The cheapest one on their Blem page is $160 US. I think the cheapest you will find them is $140 when available. You can buy the standard satin Provari (no blem) for $160 US. seems you're pretty close to that now. If you can save up a little more money then it's within reach. But then again, you'll have to buy batteries and a charger that will add another $30 - $40 (but you'll have to spend that on another mod anyway). You've been with your MVP for a year now. Can you wait another month or two and save up a few more bucks?

A mistake I often see is people upgrading and taking 3, 4, 5 steps before they finally end up with a Provari. It's really an expensive way to end up in the same place...know what I mean? the fact that you have been vaping a full year tells me you are staying with it. I think the best approach is to save up and get yourself a Provari and spare yourself the expensive upgrades in-between. In the Vape World, a Provari is considered the zenith of regulated mods.

I question the statements in bold. There are many devices out there that simply leave the provari in the dust in terms of features and power these days.

For someone who doesn't subohm or run at higher wattage, the provari is a nearly perfect device. It's a high quality, American-made mod with an unmatched track record as far as I'm concerned. It'll probably outlast every other regulated mod out there if you treat it right. All of this sounds great until you realize how fast things have come and gone from the market and how much more you can get out of other gear, both new and old, for your dollar. This doesn't mean it's not a great device, it just means the provari is fairly dated at this point and won't be the end-all solution for everyone.

Tempz, if you want to keep it simple, do consider the provari because it'll serve you faithfully. I'd be absolutely shocked if you were dissatisfied with the upgrade. However, if you want to branch out there are so many fantastic options available, especially if you think rebuilding is something you could get into. There's some legwork and reading to be done if you go this route, but it really does pay off.

Uh, I did say it was a regulated mod. It is assumed you are not subohming or blowtorching your juice using a regulated mod. Considering Tempe is using a ProTank (and did not express interest in rebuilding with dual coil 0.4ohms at 30 watts) I assumed he was not doing either of those things. :)

Correct, I was referring to the regulated devices that will fire subohm coils and deliver more power to the coils (whether you're above 1 ohm or below it). Just trying to provide a little perspective on how gear has progressed and the wealth of choices we have as vapers nowadays. You don't necessarily have to subohm on any of these devices (in some cases it's beneficial to build higher), so if that's not what someone is after it shouldn't deter them.

And the price of a DNA20/30?
