Don't read any of those mentioned above -- Robin Cook has the most atrocious grammar, and writes to a template, so that every book is basically the same with the names changed. I like books that you don't see the ending to, when you're only 1/4 of the way thru the book. Harlan Coben is the best for surprising endings, but also Michael Connelly, and quite a few other thriller/mystery authors.

I haven't read Robin Cook in a while, so I may be thinking of someone else? The one I am thinking of wrote strictly medical thrillers, and the grammar wasn't that bad, though I do admit that you could see the ending before you were half-way through. Michael Palmer's books (not the ones his son wrote under his father's name after he passed away) are good ones, in my opinion, but mainly for the thriller factor. I'll have to try Harlan Coben, that's a new author to me.

What do you like to read, Faulkner22? This is your thread; I don't mean to hijack this thread (and sorry if I did)
