:glare: Ok right now I just vape on a V2 battery from smokeless image...I get a small simple taste...I am ready to upgrade with taxes..I have only been off analogs for a month so maybe my taste buds are still dead? Because I don't taste as much as everyone describes..I'm sure the V2 with a T3 clearomizer isn't the best way to taste the juice..so do I go all the way up to a provari and gape on high volts..or can I get just as good a gape off of a bombshell stinger with a low res atty. I just want to actually taste the juice lol..thanks in advance..these forums are great.

This is tough for me to answer honestly. (By the way, I believe you meant to say you are using the X2, not the V2; something entirely different.)

I began vaping with the Smokeless Image line, including the X2 and their clearomizers. Decent for a beginner setup. I'm pretty certain that you can increase your vaping satisfaction by upgrading. Now whether you want to do this by upgrading with a fixed voltage mod or variable voltage like the Provari, depends upon your budget. The Provari is expensive and worth the money, but you "might" get just as much satisfaction with a less expensive option.

I personally believe the Provari is the best option if you can afford it. Variable voltage allows one to adjust the voltage up or down the scale to find the sweet spot for each flavor that you use. I prefer using IBTanked pyrex cartotanks with a high quality cartomizer on my Provari. This has been the best way to get the best flavor for me. I just received my first rebuildable atomizer this weekend, so soon I will be able to see if it can provide me with purer and better flavor.

If you go with a fixed voltage mod with a low resistance atty, you will be limited to adjust to taste.

As someone pointed out, your tastebuds are still damaged from years of smoking and may take a few months before they return to normal. In the meantime, be sure to exhale some of your vapor through your nose to allow it to help your tongue interpret the flavor in vapor.

You should also try some of the stronger flavors from a good e-juice vendor, such as a cinnamon, one of the 'mints, or a menthol.

if you want to just TEST variable voltage, go with an eGo twist. Not as expensive and will let you know if you want to go that route. I have not found that many people who bought one and then moved on that do not still use the twist as well. It's smaller and so really good for when driving, or taking outside at work for a vape-break.

Since you already use Smokeless Image, they just began offering an X2 Spinner that is essentially a rebranded eGo Spinner variable voltage battery. You could continue to use your Volt X2 juice delivery devices you already may own, as opposed to changing battery thread formats and the cost of a whole new setup cost with going with an eGo Twist.

Just looking out for ya. ;)

+1 on this advise.

Also, are you using the manual X2 or auto? I found that the manual tends to "wake up" the flavors I use. I don't know if it runs hotter or that I don't have to draw as hard. You could try that before spending more on the VV. Or just jump straight to the Spinner since it doesn't cost that much more and they are all manual.

I just got my X2 Spinner and am still trying out the different settings. Very much a newb when it comes to VV. ;) I can tell you that the different voltages seem to change not so much the flavor, but the strength of the flavor. Unless, of course, you go too high and then it tastes burnt! lol

And as always.....give it time and drink lots and lots and lots of water!!

From one newbie to another, the advice about exhaling some of the vapor from your nose helps. Also while I did notice a change when I moved to an ego twist, I also find that I need a juice that other vapers would find overwhelming to get the taste comments that everyone talks about.
