Hello everyone!

I've converted from smoking to vaping last summer with help of my little eGO AIO...

While AIO is nice and all the coils don't last me very long and it has some spit-back issues I always get juice on my lips with ss316 0.5 coils also they get clogged up fast even if i'm just mostly vaping 30pg/70vg flavorless base.

I would love to upgrade to something better for 40-50$

After looking at Vaporesso target mini vape kit everything seemed good but the coils for it are more than twice the price of AIO coils in my country and I can't find any information on what other coils fit the guardian tank either.
Do ceramic coils from vaporess last much longer than normal coils?

Is there anything as good as target mini but with cheaper coils (I'm only interested in premade 0.5omh coils atm)

You might like the Joyetech Ego One Mega V2.

Joyetech eGo ONE Mega V2 Kit

The CLR coils that can be purchased separately are easy to re-wick and rebuild.

Hi and welcome! Where are you located to get an idea of what you might find available locally or whether you might be better off having it shipped in, if your country allows vape shipments.

I'm all the way from Ukraine. Pretty much anything that sells in China sells here aswell. Prices are just all over the place I can get a ss316 0.5 coil for 1.50$ here the ceramic coil for vaporess is around 3.50$ that's a bit expensive if they last as much a ss316 coils do.

You can even use the 1.0 ohm or 1.5 ohm cubis coils on the AIO (longer battery life). Also there is a rba head for the cubis tank so you can build your own coils.

I second the devices that use the CLR coils...tron-s or ego one tanks. Cheap and easy.

So the CLR coil is basically:
- remove old cotton
- dry burn the coil
- wash it with water
- put in new cotton
- vapes like new?

What about the coil wire itself can it last forever or?

Cubis tank looks nice, top air flow so it won't leak I presume? Besides CLR does it fit same atomizers as AIO?

You can dry bun a coil for cleaning multiple times. There will come a time where you just can't get it clean and have to replace the wire. I don't use CLR oils, but on my RTAs I can get 3 months out of one wire before needing to replace it. YMMV.

That's right. I re-wicked one coil about 6 times before it finally broke and needed to be rebuilt.

Wire is cheap. About $5 for 100'. You only need 5-6 inches per coil.

It is best to have an ohm reader but if you use a coil building calculator like this Coil wrapping you can get fairly close to your target resistance. The Ego One or any regulated device won't fire a coil that's too low.

Edit; 5 wraps of 28 gauge wire around a 2.5 mm mandrel will give you around 1 ohm.

Thank you for your reply this helps greatly! I was worried that the battery might explode if I mess something up with the coil wrapping....

I was about to order Cubis pro 4ml tank then I noticed all the negative reviews from buyers saying it has a lot of "spit back" and "dry hits" should I be worried? I'm already dealing with a lot of spit back on eGO AIO :/

Admittedly it's taken MONTHS to find the right gear etc seeing as most manufacturers are aiming at the DL market (and why wouldn't they? In General higher ohm coils/lower wattage (generally MTL) vaping will:
Heat the coil slower, which may produce “less” vapor
Provide A “cooler” tasting vape, can produce more flavor
May use less E-Juice (<$ less money)
Prolong battery life (<$)
Prolong coil life (<$)
Prolong wick life (<$)
Zero spit back
May result in less PV maintenance/Issues
Less irritation to non vapers
Aids stealth vaping
May be better in the long run healthwise (<$)

I don't own a Cubis or AIO but I have also heard stories about spit back. Spitback can be caused by a lack of power to the coils. @djsvapour suggested using the .6 ohm coils in the AIO. It might be worth a try. At least it would make a good backup if you buy something else.

I haven't experienced any spit back with the Ego One tanks. The flavor from them is great. At least with the 1 ohm coils. I haven't tried the .5 yet. The .5 ohm coils have a much bigger hole that makes them much airier than the 1 ohm.

You mentioned the Vaporesso Target Mini. The Ego One tanks work well on them. I have 2 Target Minis and I usually use my Ego One Megas or Trons on them. Here's a pic of my black one with a Tron S.

I bought 3 Cubis tanks. Within 4 months, I had totally given up on them.
Then, I decided to use the 0.6ohm coils that came with the AIO and disaster was averted and became success.
There's almost no spitback with the 0.6 (no more than any other type really). They might spit a little on the AIO, but you have no control over the power on the AIO.

Finally made up my mind and ordered a KangerTech: SUBOX Mini Starter Kit it's super cheap and only 50W also comes with RBA atomizer and some cotton.
It should arrive on monday. I'll let you know how it workes out for a newbie like me.
Hopefully I won't get some faulty battery that blows up in my face (this is Ukraine after all lol...)

The cubis coil is the one on the AIO. The AIO is an internal (non-removable) cubis tank on a battery. I actually do not recommend the separate cubis tank over all others...it's fiddly just like the AIO. My wife likes it tho.

The CLR coil fits some Joyetech tanks like the Tron-S and the Ego One.

Got the Topbox mini kit from the post office a few hours ago. Kinda worried that i've got a fake/clone because my version doesn't have the black dots on the magnets like shown here...
Kangertech-TopBox-Mini-Starter-Kit-magnetic-battery-cover_2048x2048.jpg

I took a few puffs before the battery died and it seemed ok although the battery got pretty warm is that normal (LG HG2 3000mAh 18650)?

It's charging right now i'll play with it more tonight...
