I've been having a bad couple of vape days. The tastebuds are a little haywire, so I spent last night vaping a combo of half unflavored nic juice and half FSUSA PureCig, just to keep me from wanting to go out and buy a pack of Marlboro Lights. At just past the 5 week mark, my tastebuds are still taking me on a bit of a wild journey.
Had a bunch of new juices come in this week, and it's been a real disappointment, but I think that's mostly because I can't trust my tastebuds.
So, why on earth am I doing any sort of review? Fantastic question, and don't think I haven't asked myself the same thing.
Take this for what it's worth.
One of this week's sampler packs happened to be from Want2Vape. They have this 10 sample deal going on right now, so I ordered up a bunch of flavors (2 each of 5 different juices...as those 5 seemed most appealing). One of the flavors is Campfire Coffee. My morning coffee tasted normal, even if none of my vaping does, so I figured this would be a good one to try out today.
Have you ever gone to fix your morning coffee and realized that it is still half full from the day before? Having one of those thermal carafes, this happens to me every now and then. I'll make a pot, get distracted by my busy morning, and not drink all of it. I like strong coffee, and grind my own beans every morning. Currently on the shelf is Peet's Major Dickason's Blend (as a reference point for you coffee-holics out there). There is the occassional morning when it seems like a good idea to just microwave a cup out of the day-old carafe leftovers. (It never turns out to be a good idea in the end, but one that I'll try once a month or so if I'm low on beans LOL)
Well, if you took that day-old dark-brewed coffee and tried to mix in a bit of instant coffee to "perk it up", you could very likely recreate the flavor of Campfire Coffee. That sounds pretty dreadful, but I don't mean it to be. That's pretty much a dead-ringer for what it tastes like.....strong/leftover/freezedried coffee. It's not the worst thing in the world...in fact, it's quite delightfully tolerable, considering I can't taste much of anything else right now.
There's something else going on in there too.....a maple-ish quality maybe? Maybe it's just the bit of VG in the blend, as it's a smidge sweeter than true black coffee (but not much).
If you like strong instant coffee...you'll probably really dig Campfire Coffee.
I'm vaping this on a Bloog MaxxFusion, loaded into a Bloog carto. It's 18mg. The vapor production is so-so, and I have to really manipulate the inhale to get any discernable throat hit.
I'll probably finish this carto's-worth (which is more than I can say for anything else so far today), but most likely won't go back for seconds right now. Will stick it in the steeping closet, and save it for another day.
If anything changes down the road, will come back and update this.
