Hi.....ive been vaping for about six months using istick 50w and subtank mini...i have been looking for a mech mod and a good rba for a beginner... just wanted to get some suggestions on a good mech and rba to start out on. If you know of any starter kits that come with mech, rba, battery and charger that would be great. and also if rba came prewicked that would be cool also.
Thanks everyone. B

Unless you plan on using super low ohm coils, like 0.35 or lower, you won't notice any difference with a mech than using an rda on your istick.

Vaping mechs with coils that low is generally frowned upon for beginners, until you have a solid understanding of coil building/ohms law and the such.

There's a ton of cheap clone rda's out there, but I don't think I ever saw one come pre-wicked.

Your best bet is to go to a local brick and mortar vape shop. It will be more expensive than ordering online, but you'll get to check out all of the options available and they will build and wick an atty for you. Don't be afraid to haggle. I got my first mech setup this way...I ended up with a nemesis clone, an igo-w (the shop guy drilled out the airholes for me), two good batteries and a charger for $80. I didn't have them build and wick coils for me, but it was absolutely offered.

Or you could just go the online route, make your purchase, then take it to a shop to get your atty built and wicked. What are you looking for? Big clouds, big flavor, a tank or drip setup? Be specific and you'll get many good recommendations. Of all the equipment you buy, the battery is the most important. I'd suggest an Orbtronic sx30, Sony/XTAR vtc4, Samsung 25r or LG he2 in that order.

So you want a flavor atty. I use a nemesis with an origen dripper in single coil at .6 the marquee, veritas and derringer are also known for flavor

can pick up the nemi origen at fasttech for less then 30 then batteries and charger at rtd

Im not saying to buy it there if you dont want, but fasttech is a great place to get ideas they have 1900 atomizers and 1600 mechanicals you can see what interest you, check out the reviews and discussions and come back here with some links and see if anyone here knows anything about them.

You can use a dripper on the regulated mod.
Safer to learn about coil building and such on too as it is less likely to blow up in your face if you do a bad build or something.
Mech mods are just a straight battery no adjustment for coil differences and the vape quality will drop as the battery voltage drops unlike a regulated mod which will keep the wattage up until the battery needs recharging.
