Hello! I have been vaping for 3 years now and love to research new things on this forum. I am wanting to upgrade to something new, but was wondering if anyone has some good advice for me! I started with a 510, then moved on to an Ego-C. I have been looking at the Evic and was wondering if that would be a good device to upgrade to? Or does anyone have any other ideas/suggestions? Thanks!

The eVic is an awesome device. I have no doubt it would serve you well as an upgrade from an eGo-C! I love mine, but not everyone agrees with me. It does have it's shortcomings, but then, no device is ever perfect.

Best of luck with your decision, HTH!

I went from an Ego, to a 16650 Evic Easy Head (just the regulated control head, 3.7v, no screen), and I now have an MVP 2 and I'm loving it. I thought a box mod would be weird, but it actually feels nice in the hand and has crazy good battery life (2600 mah). It's VV/VW from 3.3v - 5v, and from 6w - 11w. It seems well built, compared to the evic which I've heard has a bit less than decent build quality. It's also a bit cheaper than an evic (you can get from 101vape for around 40-50 bucks, kit comes with the MVP, beauty ring, iClear 30, and charging cable). I use mine with clearos, and it vapes great. I'm sure every delivery device would work fine on it with the exception of rebuildables.

Edit: It also has a resistance checker, which might come in handy if you're into rebuilding clearo heads.

There are so many things that come into factor.... How much do you want to spend.... Do you want vv or vv/vw... Box type or cylindrical... Throw some more info at us and I am sure you will get many good suggestions. :toast:

I like the cylindrical shape but don't want something huge... I'd spend up to $150..? I've been reading everything I can find and see that there are SO MANY choices. I have an EgoC right now and am trying to learn about upgrades from that. It just gets a little bit confusing when reading about APVs. That's why I am asking for opinions. :)

i suggest a vv/vw mod using replaceable batteries... getting a few batteries, and a good charger... get something with an ohm reader, i myself have an itaste svd, i love it, it reads ohms, vv/vw, takes any size battery (currently using 2 18650s) it may be a little heavy and large compared to an ego... but all in all i like it... unbelievably better performance...

best thing, i have 2 18650 2900mah batteries, when (and it takes a while) for one battery to need charging, i just pop it out, pop the new one in and im good to go...

I've been reading all about the batteries that are needed for APVS's and they have all these warnings and disclaimers about them... Like "do not charge overnight, have only in a certain temperature, and can explode." Now I'm feeling concerned about the whole thing and wondering if I should just stick with my Ego??!?? Thoughts?

Fact any battery can explode. Happens with cell phones and laptops too. They use basically the same battery chemistry that we do. Ego batterys are no different.

Reasonable care is all that is needed to protect yourself. Use an appropriate charge. Don't ever drain a battery on an unregulated device. Don't leave your ego charging in a hot car. ;) Be careful not to overtax your battery with sub ohm attys if the battery cannot handle the amps you need.

It is mostly common sense stuff.
