well i got my kayfun 3.1 clone yesterday from hcigar. and i am about to tell you why this rba is VERY VERY VERY dangerous.
well last night after washing it and what not i set it up with some lemon flavor e juice which didn't vape well not that good. and also got quite a bit of gurgling and crap. so i drained it and put my Vivi nova back on so i was just starting to mess with it again right now. and i was unscrewing the tank and when i got to the middle section i couldn't get it to unscrew and i was trying to turn it and had juice on my hand. so i grabbed my role of toilet paper so i could use it to try to turn it and noticed lots of red on the toilet paper and was like where the heck is red coming from. i put the toilet paper to my nose to make sure i didn't have a nosebleed and i didn't but i did notice more red then i looked at my thumb and pointer finger and i guess when i tried to unscrew it i cut the living crap out of my finger sliced it deeeeepppp and now my kayfun is covered in blood. (wonder how that will vape.) lol so my warning is that be careful when you are taking your kayfun clone apart because it can and WILL cut your finger open. i am just happy i bought some waterproof band aids at Walgreens 2 weeks ago to put on my dog for her spay surgery incision and they work great on the fingers cause they wrap perfectly and flex. so you almost can't feel them and i can still use my fingers for working on the very small coil in my kayfun. will update this thread with pics of my patched fingers lol

ALert the media, smoking electronic cigarette my lead to loss of limbs.........

Sorry, could not resist. COuld you imagine what the media would do with this story.

I have really, really dry hands and they actually crack. With some of my devices that are hard to screw off/on I will get cuts and scrapes from the threads. I have never drawn immediate blood, though sometimes my dry cracks will bleed. I know, not a pretty thing for a woman. Thanks for the warning. Ive heard good things about the Higar Kayfun Clone. Unfortunately as we all know the quality control and attention to the finish on some clones is not the greatest.

Rinse your KF clone with soap and water and then use high percentage alcohol to get rid of any blood that might be in seams or orings etc. Minute bits of organic material like blood can be a breeding ground for bacteria and THAT will be dangerous. What is kinda scary is that your title can be found throughout the internet world when anyone types in dangers / e-cigs/ vaping/ etc. I saw the title and thought WHAT THE HECK?

Take care of that cut and keep it clean, You dont want an infection or tetanus :)

yea but in general the hcigar kayfun 3.1 is AMAZING the quality is so damn good and very good machining on everything. also it came to me damn near clean no oil or shavings like other clones. but i did clean it just to b safe. but i am very happy with it just a little more in cost than the fasttech brand but so so so worth the price.

I'm glad you posted this. Many people are getting into the RBA's and RDA's and probably never think twice about things like the threading or such cutting them. Thanks for pointing it out. We're not all machinist or carpenters much less have ever had the experience to use anything that showed us that threads like those on RBA's could be sharp. I know I haven't.

These Kayfun tank sections can be quite hard to unscrew. What makes them so hard to unscrew is the orings are gripping to each item they are in contact with. You can put the Kayfun in a freezer for maybe ten minutes and the oring will become hard and not stick to the parts as strong. This will really help if two parts have been screwed together with too much force.
To prove that the orings are the problem, try screwing two of the tank sections together without the oring and see how easy they unscrew.
What works really good and I always use is two strips I cut from a rubber disc used for opening jar lids.
Just use one strip under your fingers on each piece you are trying to unscrew.
You can buy the rubber discs from Bed, Bath and Beyond for a couple of dollars. They also work good for removing a stuck drip tip.
With these rubber strips the freezer method is not needed unless the sections have been assembled with way too much force.

I did the exact same thing the other night, only it was just my thumb. Hurt like hell and worried me for a bit because it started to tingle after awhile .. Needless to say, I always use some type of buffer, usually a paper towel, when I'm unscrewing my Kayfun clone (hcigar). I am very aware and cautious now when messing with it ..
