Hey everyone,

I've gotten back into vaping about a month and stopped smoking analogs exactly 8 days ago. At first, I found vaping fun with a mech mod and dripper and getting to rebuild. I was on a really nice build on my atomizer and my friend wanted to try it on his new dual battery unregulated box mod and we put it on and all was well. Until I put my atomizer back on my mod, and the vape quality was considerably weaker. I've been trying to build to get that type of vapor production and flavor back but it seems like no matter what build I do now, the vape and flavor is weaker than that one and I don't know what the issue is.

I just want an e cig that I can puff and get a good vape and flavor that I don't have to constantly drip and spend 5 hours constantly doing rebuilds and adjusting because it's not satisfying me. Analogs are so much more simple.

Most people who use a mech mod with an RBA enjoy it as a hobby. The vast majority of vapers use devices that are very simple, with replacing a head every few days to every few weeks being all the maintenance they need. If you find the RBA route too tedious, you can use a more straightforward setup.

I guess it comes down to whether you are ready to quit smoking. You can find good vapor and flavor with less fiddling, but if you set the bar too high for vapor quantity or that "perfect" flavor, you may not succeed in keeping off the smokes. I hope you can adjust your expectations and find a good setup that fits you so that you can keep on vaping!

if you put your atty on a your friends mechanical box and then put it back on your mechanical tube and now its not vaping the same, it must be some kind of connection issue. Did you check the 510 pin on the top cap of your mod? Did you check the switch? Thats about as complicated as a mech mod gets. Or it could be the coils in your rda. Are the post screws completely securing the coil leads?

Other posters are right though. This type of setup is a hobby setup. People who get into this really enjoy vaping and building and polishing.

I used that kid's God box and mutant x or some kinda of atty last night at the vape shop....my Kanger V2's are anemic now *lol*

what kind of atty are you using?

I'm still getting what's satisfying to my old damaged lungs..from my gear...but that really thick warm yummy cloud was amazing...but I have a "fiddle factor" and for now I don't want to rebuild coils and/or swap batteries.

Anything other than an off the shelf build will take a little fiddle time to get it figured out. Same with DIY juices.

Once you get past that learning/experimentation period then you will be on cruise control and only consider making changes when you want something different.

Took me a while to get my rig dialed in but now that it is I will never go back to "store bought" coils and juices.

Of course it is "too much work". You JUST started vaping, and you already jumped in with mech mods, drippers, and building your own coils. That's like a 15 year old kid learning how to drive for the first time by getting in a race car that goes 200+ MPH and competing in Nascar.

You dont have to start out with anything subpar these days. You can get a nice regulated box mod , or a VV/VW ego battery, and a nice tank like the Aspire Nautilus, or the new Aspire Atlantis.

You might try to remember why you started vaping in the first place.

You say you've been at it for eight days, and yet you already treat the practice like a hobby.

I've been vaping for three years. I wanted to quit smoking - that simple. To make it even simpler, I adopted a mind-free method: cig-a-likes.

I don't give it any thought. The battery runs out, I get another one; the cartomizer runs out, I get another one; I run low on eliquid, I order some more. Like I said, it's been three years. I don't obsess over it ... there are many other things that demand my attention - vaping is not one of them. K.I.S.S. rules with me.

Stop complicating your life!

Big Tobacco, over the years has made cigarettes simple and easy. They are preying on those that don't want to accept that getting nicotine in a better way, has its labor. It is a business tactic, especially when it comes to food. 60 years ago TV dinners came along and it was the first step in killing home cooking. Now, we spend more money buying chemically-infused...(something).

For me, the benefits of using an APV far out succeeds analogs. The extra labor, and it is minimal if it is kept simple, is not a problem. It is just part of the deal.

I am grateful that I like to tinker. Its a hobby and it is good for me.

I believe your issue is not with the build on your atty but the output difference from your friend's "dual battery, unregulated box mod" and whatever mod/batteries you are using. What voltage reading do the two mod devices produce?

The holy grail of rda for me would be one that is so hard and complicated to build it would take an engineering degree and at least 24hrs to build. I would be so happy with that, i really love to tinker with stuff. It was only when i started rebuilding that vaping finally got enough interest for me.
Hah..you need gennys!
